વૈજ્ઞાનીક દૃષ્ટીએ આત્માનું સ્વરુપ
કોઈપણ ક્ષેત્રમાં જ્યાં સુધી સમસ્ત માનવસમાજ એક ચોક્કસ વીચારધારા અપનાવે નહીં ત્યાં સુધી એમાં નવા વીચારોનો અવકાશ રહે છે. રાજકારણ, અર્થકારણ, સમાજવ્યવસ્થા, કુટુમ્બવ્યવસ્થા વગેરે બધાં જ ક્ષેત્રોમાં નવા અખતરા થયા છે અને હજી થઈ રહ્યા છે.
ધાર્મીક ક્ષેત્રે પણ આમાં અપવાદ નથી. એટલે જ તો દુનીયામાં આટલા ધર્મ છે અને દરેક ધર્મના આટલા ફાંટા છે. બધા ધર્મ સરખા હોવાનું કહેવાય છે, પણ તે એક સમાધાન–શોધક વલણ છે. જો એ સાચું હોત તો ધર્મના નામે આટલાં યુદ્ધો ન થયાં હોત.
વીજ્ઞાન એકમાત્ર એવું ક્ષેત્ર છે જ્યાં પ્રયોગોથી, તર્કથી કે સીદ્ધાંતોથી જે સાબીત થઈ ચુક્યું છે એમાં કોઈ મતભેદ નથી. જે હજી સાબીત નથી થયું ત્યાં વીજ્ઞાન પોતે નવા વીચારોને આવકારે છે. આત્માનાં સ્વરુપો વીશે અગાઉ ઘણા સવાલ થઈ ચુક્યા છે. આપણી જાણમાં છે એવા કોઈ પણ સ્વરુપે આત્માનું હોવું, તેમ જ શરીર છોડ્યા પછી પોતાનું સ્વતંત્ર અસ્તીત્વ જાળવી રાખવું, શક્ય નથી એવું એ લેખોમાં સાબીત થતું હતું. એ સ્વરુપ કયું હોઈ શકે તે વૈજ્ઞાનીક દૃષ્ટીએ અહીં રજુ કર્યું છે.
આપણે આત્મામાં માનીએ કે ન માનીએ, પણ દુનીયાના 95 ટકા લોકો જેમાં માનતા હોય તે, સાચું હોય કે ખોટું હોય તો પણ; પ્રસ્તુત તો છે જ. એને સાવ નકારી કાઢવા કરતાં જુદા સ્વરુપે રજુ કરવાથી તે વધારે અસરકારક બની શકે છે. આપણો મુળ હેતુ અન્ધશ્રદ્ધા અને ગેરસમજો દુર કરવાનો છે, આત્માને નકારવાનો નથી.
આઠ–દસ હજાર વર્ષ પહેલાં, માનવ સંસ્કૃતીના વીકાસનાં શરુઆતનાં વર્ષોમાં ઘણાના મનમાં સવાલ ઉઠ્યો કે જડ અને ચેતન, સજીવ અને નીર્જીવ વચ્ચે જે ફરક દેખાય છે તે શું છે અને શાને લીધે છે ? થોડા વીચારકોને એનો જવાબ મળ્યો, જેને એમણે કોન્શન્સ, સ્પીરીટ, સોલ, અંત:કરણ, આત્મા, ચેતના, રુહ જેવાં નામ આપ્યાં. સમયાન્તરે અન્ય વીચારકો, તત્ત્વજ્ઞાનીઓ અને મહાપુરુષોએ એને ઉંડાણમાં અને વીગતવાર સમજાવવાની કોશીષ કરી. કોઈએ એને ગુઢ અને રહસ્યમય બતાવ્યું. એમાંથી અલગ સ્થળ અને બદલાતા સમય પ્રમાણે જુદી જુદી સમજ ઉપસી, જે આજે પણ યથાવત છે.
આત્મા વીશેની હાલની સાચી, ખોટી, પુર્ણ કે અધુરી જે પણ સમજ પ્રચલીત છે તે કુદરતી નહીં; પણ દરેકને મળેલો સાંસ્કૃતીક વારસો છે. જે કુદરતી હોય તે તો બધા માણસો માટે સરખું જ હોય છે. કુદરતે બધાને સરખાં અવયવો આપ્યાં છે. એનાં સ્વરુપ અને ઉપયોગની બધાની સમજ સરખી છે. આત્માની જેમ એમાં દેશ, ધર્મ, સંસ્કુતી પ્રમાણે મતભેદ નથી.
જડ અને ચેતનમાં જે ભેદ છે એને આ લેખમાં વીજ્ઞાન અને તર્કના આધાર પર રજુ કર્યો છે. એમાં કંઈ ગુઢ રહસ્ય નથી. એ નૈસર્ગીક છે, વાસ્તવીક છે અને બધા માટે સમાન છે.
કમ્પ્યુટરની જેમ સજીવો પણ હાર્ડવેર અને સોફ્ટવેરનું સંયોજન છે. દેખીતી રીતે આપણું શરીર હાર્ડવેર છે, જ્યારે સજીવોને નીર્જીવોથી જુદું પાડતું જે તત્ત્વ છે તે આપણું સોફ્ટવેર છે. જીવન ટકાવી રાખવા અને એની વૃદ્ધી કરવા માટેની જરુરી ક્રીયાઓ આપણું હાર્ડવેર કરે છે, જ્યારે એનું સંચાલન સોફ્ટવેર દ્વારા થાય છે. આ ક્રીયાઓ બે પ્રકારની છે: આંતરીક અને બાહ્ય. આંતરીક ક્રીયાઓમાં હૃદયનું ધબકવું, શ્વાસોચ્શ્વાસ, નવા કોષોનું સર્જન, ખોરાકનું પાચન, રક્ત શુદ્ધીકરણ, યોગ્ય સમયે પ્રજનનતંત્રનો વીકાસ વગેરે ઘણું બધું સમાયેલું છે. બધી આંતરીક ક્રીયાઓ સ્વયંસંચાલીત છે. સજીવોને એની સમજ પણ નથી હોતી. આપણે ભણીએ ત્યારે જ એના વીશે ખબર પડે છે.
બાહ્ય ક્રીયાઓ છે ખાવું, પીવું, ઉંધવું, બહારના ભય સામે જાતનું રક્ષણ કરવું વગેરે. આ ક્રીયાઓ આપણને સમજાય છે. એના માટે પ્રવૃત્તી પણ કરવી પડે છે. જો કે આ પ્રવૃત્તી શીખવાની કોઈને જરુર પડતી નથી. જન્મથી જ દરેક જીવને એ માટેની સમજ વારસામાં મેળલી હોય છે. એ માટેની જરુરી માહીતી શરીરના કોષોમાં આવેલા (દરેક કોષના કોષકેન્દ્રમાં આવેલા) ડીએનએમાં– જનીનોમાં અંકીત થયેલી છે. જરુર પ્રમાણે એ માટેના સંકેત અંદરથી મળે છે. બાહ્ય ક્રીયાઓનું સંચાલન આપણા જનીન અને મગજ બન્નેના સહયોગથી થાય છે.
જીવન ટકાવવા માટે આ બધી જ ક્રીયો જરુરી છે. એવી ક્રીયા જેટલી પાયાની હોય એટલી તે આપણા આદી પુર્વજ પાસેથી મળેલી છે. આના થોડા દાખલા જોઈએ. નવા જીવની શરુઆત માતાના ગર્ભમાં માત્ર એક કોષના વીભાજનથી શરુ થાય છે. આ કોષ વીભાજનની માહીતી આપણા જીન્સમાં 300 કરોડ વરસ પહેલાં વીકસેલા અમીબા જેવા એકકોષીય જીવ પાસેથી મળેલી છે. શ્વાસોચ્શ્વાસની ક્રીયા આશરે 150 કરોડ વરસ પહેલાં જમીન પર વીચારતા શરુઆતના જીવો પાસેથી મળી છે. બે પગે ટટ્ટાર ચાલવાનું માત્ર 17-18 લાખ વર્ષ પુર્વેના આપણા પુર્વજ હોમો–ઈરેક્ટસ પાસેથી મળ્યું છે. આપણને ગમે કે ન ગમે, હકીકત એ છે કે આપણે પ્રીમીટીવ–પ્રારંભીક જીવોમાંથી વીકસીત થયેલા છીએ અને એમના કેટલાક ગુણધર્મ હજી પણ આપણે ધરાવીએ છીએ.
દેખીતું છે કે સૌથી વધુ વારસો આપણને આપણા સાવ નજીકના પુર્વજો પાસેથી મળે છે. માતા–પીતા અને એમનાં માતા–પીતા પાસેથી મળતો આ વારસો જનીનગત ઉપરાંત ઉછેરનો પણ હોય છે.
કમ્પ્યુટરના વ્યવસ્થીત સંચાલન માટેની જરુરી માહીતી (સોફ્ટવેર) જ્યાં સંઘરેલા હોય છે એને પ્રોગ્રામ ફાઈલ કહે છે. જીવન ટકાવી રાખવા જરુરી માહીતી આપણા જનીનમાં તેમ જ મગજમાં સંઘરાયેલી હોય છે. તે આપણી ‘કાયમી ફાઈલ’ છે. આ માહીતી માતાના ગર્ભમાંથી જ આપણા કોષોમાં અંકીત થાય છે. તેમાં રહેલું ડીએનએ આપણા અસ્તીત્વનું હાર્દ છે. એને આપણે જીવનસત્ત્વ કહીશું. બધા માનવોનું જીવનસત્ત્વ લગભગ સરખું છે.
એક રીતે જોઈએ તો ગર્ભાધાન સમયના એક કોષથી શરુ કરી, પ્રથમ ત્રણેક વર્ષ સુધીનું આપણું જીવન, ઉત્ક્રાન્તીની પ્રક્રીયાના ઝડપી પુનરાવર્તન (રીપ્લે) જેવું છે. ગર્ભમાં જ આપણે ઉત્ક્રાન્તીના ઘણા તબક્કામાંથી પસાર થઈએ છીએ. આપણા જન્મની ઘટનાને, ફેફસાં વીકસ્યાં પછી જીવો પાણીમાંથી બહાર નીકળીને જમીન પર વસવાટ કરવા આવ્યા તેની સાથે સરખાવી શકાય. પછી પેટે ઘસડાઈને (સરીસૃપ), ભાંખોડીયાભેર (ચાર પગે) અને છેલ્લે બે પગે ચાલવાની તેમ જ બોલવાની આવડત આપણને આધુનીક માનવ સુધી લઈ આવે છે.
અન્ય પ્રાણીઓ કરતાં માનવ ઘણો વધુ વીકસીત છે. તેથી માનવમગજમાં ઘણી વધારે માહીતી છે. આપણે જે પણ જોઈએ છીએ, સાંભળીએ છીએ, અનુભવીએ છીએ તે બધી માહીતી આપણા મગજમાં સંઘરાય છે. તે ઉપરાન્ત આપણી કલ્પનાઓ, માન્યતાઓ, આકાંક્ષાઓ, પ્રેમ, ઈર્ષ્યા, મદ જેવી લાગણીઓ એ બધું જ મગજમાં સંધરાતું રહે છે.
આ ફાઈલની માહીતી આપણું વ્યક્તીત્વ ઘડે છે. તે આપણે જાતે બનાવેલી છે, માટે એને ‘ટેમ્પરરી ફાઈલ’ (હંગામી ફાઈલ) કહી શકાય. દરેક વ્યક્તી માટે તે અલગ હોય છે. આ ફાઈલની માહીતી બે કે વધુ વ્યક્તીઓ વચ્ચે આપવા અને સ્વીકારવાથી જ ‘ટ્રાન્સફર’ થઈ શકે છે. આપોઆપ તે કોઈને મળતી નથી. વીશેષમાં જીવન દરમીયાન ઘણું ભુલાઈ પણ જાય છે. એટલે એને ‘હંગામી ફાઈલ’ કહી છે. માતા–પીતા પાસેથી મળતો વારસો બન્ને પ્રકારનો હોવાથી આ ફાઈલમાં પણ ઉતરી આવે છે. જીવનસત્ત્વની ‘કાયમી ફાઈલ’ અને વ્યક્તીત્વની ‘હંગામી ફાઈલ’નો સરવાળો એ જ આપણો આત્મા, ચેતના, સોલ.
આ ચેતના માહીતીના રુપમાં છે, સોફ્ટવેર છે, તે અદ્રવ્ય છે. એને કોઈ કદ કે આકાર નથી. એને તલવારથી કાપી શકાતી નથી કે અગ્નીથી બાળી શકાતી નથી. એક શરીરમાંથી ઉત્પન્ન થતા બીજા શરીરમાં એનો ઘણોખરો ભાગ આપોઆપ પહોંચી જાય છે. આ રીતે તે ખોળીયું બદલે છે. એ જીવસૃષ્ટીની શરુઆતથી છે અને અંત સુધી રહેવાની છે, એટલે કે અમર છે.
નાનપણમાં એક ધાર્મીક પ્રવચનમાં આને મળતી જ આત્માની વ્યાખ્યા સાંભળી હતી. ત્યારે તે ઘણી રહસ્યમય લાગી હતી. એક માહીતી તરીકે આ બધી રજુઆતને વાંચવામાં કે સાંભળવામાં કોઈને વાંધો ન હોય, પણ એને આત્મા કહેવાથી કોઈને ખોટું લાગી શકે છે. કારણ કે એમાં રહસ્યમય, ગુઢ કે આધ્યાત્મીક જેવું કશું છે નહીં. વાત સાચી છે. કોઈ પણ વસ્તુ કે ઘટના આપણને જ્યાં સુધી સમજાતી નથી ત્યાં સુધીજ તે રહસ્યમય લાગે છે. સમજાઈ જાય પછી એમાં રહસ્ય રહેતું નથી. વીજ્ઞાનની આ જ તો ખુબી છે. તે ગોળગોળ વાતો કરતું નથી, દરેક વાતને સ્પષ્ટ રીતે સમજાવે છે.
આત્માની પ્રચલીત વ્યાખ્યા અને આ લેખની વ્યાખ્યામાં રહેલી સરખામણીની વાત કરી લીધા પછી, તેમની વચ્ચેના તફાવતની વાત કરવી પણ જરુરી છે.
આ માહીતીરુપ આત્માનું સ્વતંત્ર અસ્તીત્વ શક્ય નથી. એને હમ્મેશાં હાર્ડવેર એવા કોષોની જરુર પડે છે. હાર્ડવેર એકલું નકામું હોવાથી બન્ને એકબીજાના પુરક છે. અહીં આત્માની ઉન્નતી માટે કોષોનો, શરીરનો ભોગ નથી અપાતો. આપવો જરુરી નથી.
બધા સજીવોમાં આત્મા છે, પણ બધા સજીવોનો આત્મા સરખો નથી. કોઈ એક ચોક્કસ પ્રજાતીના બધા જીવોનું જીવનસત્ત્વ સરખું હોય છે; પણ અન્ય પ્રજાતીઓ કરતાં તે જુદું હોય છે. ભીન્ન પ્રજાતીઓ વચ્ચે માહીતી ટ્રાન્સફર ન થઈ શકે. પ્રચલીત માન્યતા પ્રમાણે આત્મા ચોરાશી લાખ યોનીઓમાંથી પસાર ન થઈ શકે.
મોટા ભાગની પ્રજાતીઓમાં આ જીવનસત્વ નર–નારીના સંયોજનથી આગળ વધી શકે છે. પરીણામે દરેક પેઢીએ એમાં નવીનતા અને વીવીધતા આવે છે. આ વીવીધતા જ ઉત્ક્રાન્તી અને પ્રગતીના પાયામાં છે. અહીં નવા જીવના જન્મનો નીર્ણય જન્મ આપનારના હાથમાં છે. જન્મ લેનાર જીવ પોતાના માતા–પીતા નક્કી કરતો નથી.
અવારનવાર એક પ્રશ્નનો સામનો કરવાનો થાય છે. એ પ્રશ્ન છે, ‘કોઈ શ્રીમંતને ત્યાં જન્મે છે, તો કોઈ ગરીબને ત્યાં. આમ કેમ ?’ આ પ્રશ્નનો ઉત્તર, આગલા પેરેગ્રાફનો સંદર્ભ લઈ, પ્રશ્નના રુપમાં જ આપ્યો છે. ‘શ્રીમંત કે ગરીબનાં સંતાનો એમના પોતાના ઘરે ન જન્મે તો બીજા કોના ઘરે જન્મે ?’ (જો પ્રશ્ન પુર્વગ્રહયુક્ત હોય તો ઉત્તરમાં થોડો કટાક્ષ અસ્થાને નથી.)
આ બધી રજુઆત તાર્કીક છે અને સત્યથી વધુ નજીક છે. એ સ્વીકારવાથી આત્માની પ્રચલીત સમજ વીશે અગાઉ ચર્ચાયેલા પ્રશ્નો અર્થહીન બની જાય છે. એટલું જ નહીં સ્વર્ગ, નરક, પુનર્જન્મ વગેરે વીશેના અણઉકેલ્યા પ્રશ્નો પણ રહેતા નથી. આપણા માટે બધું અહીં, આ પૃથ્વી પર જ છે. આત્મા પુનર્જન્મથી નહીં; પણ સન્તાનોના જન્મથી નવો દેહ ધારણ કરે છે. આ રીતે તે અમર રહે છે. આપણે પ્રકૃતીનું એક નાનું અંગ માત્ર છીએ. જીવઉત્ક્રાન્તીની નીસરણીનું એક પગથીયું છીએ. મૃત્યુ પછી આપણું જે પણ જળવાય છે તે જીવનસત્ત્વ દ્વારા સન્તાનોને આપેલો વારસો તેમ જ આપણાં વ્યક્તીત્વ અને કાર્યો દ્વારા સમાજને આપેલ વારસો છે.
માનવ સીવાયની બધી પ્રજાતીના જીવનમાં માત્ર બે જ મુખ્ય હેતુ હોય છે: પોતાની જાતનું રક્ષણ કરવું અને પોતાનો વંશવેલો વધારવો. માનવજીવનનાં બીજાં પણ કેટલાંક લક્ષ છે. જો કે એનાથી પાયાના બે ઉદ્દેશોનું મહત્ત્વ જરા પણ ઓછું થયું નથી.
માનવસમાજે સંયુક્ત રીતે ભેગી કરેલી માહીતી જ્ઞાન કહેવાય છે. આવું કહેવાતું જ્ઞાન સાચું હોય અથવા ખોટું પણ હોઈ શકે છે. કેટલુંક લાંબા સમયનું સામુહીક જ્ઞાન વર્તમાનમાં ખોટું સાબીત થઈ ચુક્યું છે. કારણ કે તે હંગામી ફાઈલની માહીતી હતી. જીવનસત્ત્વમાં સંગ્રહાયેલી માહીતી અંગે સાચા ખોટાનો સવાલ જ પેદા થતો નથી. એ માહીતી નૈસર્ગીક છે. પ્રકૃતીએ આપણામાં મુકી છે. એ આપણી કાયમી ફાઈલ છે. એનો બીજો કોઈ વીકલ્પ નથી.
અહીં રજુ કરેલા મુદ્દા પર ખુલ્લા મને વીચાર કરનારને એમાં કંઈ અજુગતું નહીં લાગે. ઉલટાની આ તાર્કીક રજુઆત વધુ સ્વીકાર્ય લાગશે.

મુંબઈના પીઢ ચાર્ટર્ડ એકાઉન્ટન્ટ મહેન્દ્ર એ. શાહનો ‘વીવેકપંથી’ને ફોન આવ્યો. કહે, ‘‘વર્ષોથી હું આત્માવીષયક ગુંચવાડામાં હતો. ‘વીવેકપંથી’નો 98માં અંકમાં શ્રી મુરજી ગડાએ મારી વર્ષોની ગુંચ ઉકેલી દીધી છે. કેવી સૌમ્ય અને સ્પષ્ટ રજુઆત છે ! હવે આત્માના અસ્તીત્વ વીશે મારા મનમાં કોઈ અવઢવ રહેવા પામી નથી.’’ અહીં એક સાથે બે સાર્થકતાઓ સીદ્ધ થાય છે: લેખકની અને વાચકની. મહેન્દ્રભાઈની ગુંચ ઉકલી; કારણ કે તેઓ પોતે જીજ્ઞાસુ વાચક છે. સાચા અને સારા વાચક મળવા એ કોઈ પણ લેખકની કૃતાર્થતા ગણાય. કલમઘસુ લેખક અને પાનાં ફેરવી જનાર વાચક, બન્ને સરખા : મુરજીભાઈનાં ચીન્તન–અભ્યાસ, શરીર અને આત્માને અનુક્રમે હાર્ડવેર અને સોફ્ટવેરની ઉપમા આપે છે, જે આ કમ્પ્યુટર યુગમાં એક વીશેષ વાત ગણાય.
મુળ કચ્છના વતની મુરજીભાઈના વડવાઓએ એકસો વર્ષ પહેલાં કચ્છ છોડ્યું છે; એટલે એમને કચ્છી ખોળીયામાં વસેલો હાર્ડકોર ગુજરાતી જ કહી શકાય. જન્મ, બાળપણ અને સાત ધોરણ સુધીનું શીક્ષણ મહારાષ્ટ્રના એક અંતરીયાળ ગામડામાં અને હાઈ સ્કુલ મુંબઈમાં ગુજરાતી માધ્યમની શાળામાં. મુંબઈ યુનીવર્સીટીમાં બી. ઈ. (મીકેનીક) થયા અને એ જ ક્ષેત્રમાં અમેરીકામાં એમ. એસ. કરી કન્સલ્ટન્ટસી કરી. વીસેક વર્ષ ત્યાં ગાળીને હવે વડોદરામાં સ્થાયી થયા છે. જો કે પુત્ર અને પુત્રી અમેરીકામાં જ સ્થાયી થયાં છે.
નીવૃત્તીનાં છેલ્લા પાંચ વરસથી જૈન સામયીક ‘પગદંડી’માં અને અમદાવાદથી પ્રગટતા ‘મંગલ મંદીર’માં લખવાનું શરુ કર્યુ છે. એમના વીચારો પ્રચલીત સામાજીક માન્યતાઓથી વીરુદ્ધ જ હોય છે; પણ શૈલી એવી સૌમ્ય હોય કે વીરોધાભાસ જણાઈ આવે નહીં. હવે એમણે ‘વીવેકપંથી’ ને ‘વૈશ્વીક માનવવાદ’માં પણ લખવાનું શરુ કર્યું છે.
રૅશનાલીઝમ તેની વીવીધ પ્રકારની સક્રીયતા અને અભીવ્યક્તીમાં પણ વીવીધતાને કારણે, જનસામાન્યને સમજવું સહેજ અઘરું લાગે છે. કેટલાક રૅશનાલીસ્ટો બાવા–બાપુઓને ઉઘાડા પાડવામાં રૅશનાલીઝમ જુએ છે, તો કેટલાક અન્ધશ્રદ્ધા નીર્મુલનમાં. વળી રૅશનાલીસ્ટ કલમમાં પણ પ્રકારો છે. કેટલાક કલમને કટાર બનાવીને એ જ રીતે કલમનો ઉપયોગ કરે છે, તો કેટલાક પોતાના ચોખ્ખા ચીન્તનથી કલમને સૌમ્ય સ્પર્શનું સાધન બનાવીને ઉપયોગ કરે. મુરજીભાઈને આપણે આ બીજી કોટીમાં મુકી શકીએ.
‘વીવેકવીહોણી પ્રવૃત્તી કે સક્રીયતા’ ભાગ્યે જ પરીણામદાયી બની શકે. મુરજીભાઈએ આ વાત ગાંઠે બાંધી લીધી જણાય છે અને નીખાલસતા પણ એમની જુઓ, જાતે જ કહે છે, ‘‘પ્રવચનની મને ફાવટ નથી. એમાં હું એક વીદ્યાર્થીથી વીશેષ કંઈ નથી.’’ એ પુખ્ત વીદ્યાર્થી આપણી ચર્ચાસભાની બીજી બેઠકના પ્રમુખ તરીકે ઉંચા ગુણ મેળવશે જેમાં શંકા નથી.

If there is software, it is stored somewhere. Information just like that does not operate on physical objects. It has to be part of some physical object. And if it is a physical object, it is not free from physical world activities. This is not the characteristic of ATMA as mentioned in old scriptures.

કોષોમાં આવેલા (દરેક કોષના કોષકેન્દ્રમાં આવેલા) ડીએનએમાં– જનીનોમાં અંકીત થયેલી છે. જરુર પ્રમાણે એ માટેના સંકેત અંદરથી મળે છે. બાહ્ય ક્રીયાઓનું સંચાલન આપણા જનીન અને મગજ બન્નેના સહયોગથી થાય છે.
There is no need to say that કોષના કોષકેન્દ્રમાં, because nucleus is not always in the centre of the cell. Also,” જનીનો” is not the right word, but “જીન્સ” is the correct word in which DNA is located.
જીવનસત્ત્વની ‘કાયમી ફાઈલ’ અને વ્યક્તીત્વની ‘હંગામી ફાઈલ’નો સરવાળો એ જ આપણો આત્મા, ચેતના, સોલ. This is a gross simplification. Because by saying this you are assigning physical characteristics to soul. Whereas in reality no one has proved that soul has any dimensions!! you say this….તે અદ્રવ્ય છે. એને કોઈ કદ કે આકાર નથી. એને તલવારથી કાપી શકાતી નથી કે અગ્નીથી બાળી શકાતી નથી.
When cells are grown in Petri dish, they have DNA…the physical existence but not the આત્મા, ચેતના, સોલ.
Once again…આ માહીતીરુપ આત્માનું સ્વતંત્ર અસ્તીત્વ શક્ય નથી…. to say this is wrong, because one can destroy genes and DNA, whereas ATMA can not (your own definition).
You can transfect genes…can you transfect ATMA??

Yes, you are right. It needs to be stored and it is stored. Our genetic info. is stored in our DNA and the acquired info. is stored in our brain’s memory cells. Another article was writen in detail to explain all this. It would be too much to go in the details here at this time.

There are two types of activities: conscious and sub-conscious by brain. We do not have control over subconscious activity. Brain decides based on “some” information. Let’s assume that it comes from DNA. Then, it cannot explain when one person dies and some other lives in the exact same condition. The decision comes from that “some” object which is what our soul should be.

You are mixing the hardware and the softwre. DNA is the hardware and the encoded info is the software. Death is when this info gets ”erased” while the hardware still remains. It decays with time according to its physical properties if left to itself. I can understand it is hard for people to separate DNA materal from the instructions it contains.

This is not propogating blind beliefs. On the contrary, it is exactly the opposite. We rationalists need to explain the difference between living and non-living in a scientific way. This is the best way I can come up with. If someone else has even better way to explain it, I am all for it.

વિજ્ઞાન અને આધ્યાત્મ બંને એકબીજાના વિરોધમાં જવાને બદલે, માનવના ઉજ્જવલ ભવિષ્યના નિર્માણ માટે એકરૂપ થવું જોઈએ. આપણે જાણીએ છીએ કે વિજ્ઞાન ભૌતિક (પદાર્થ) વિજ્ઞાનમાં સંશોધન કરતું હોય છે જ્યારે આધ્યાત્મ ચેતનાને ઉજાગર કરવાના પ્રયત્નો કરે છે. બંનેની ઉપયોગીતા, સિદ્ધિઓ અને મહત્વ પોત પોતાને સ્થાને યોગ્ય જ છે.

In response to all three of your emails:
1. However, modern scientists are not sure how the memory is stored. Are you referring to memory we creat by our experienc? or again you are referring to the memory in DNA/Genes? If it is DNA then there is no difference between two DNA files. This is our genotype. The expression of genotype, also called phenotype, differs between cells due to differential regulation of DNA/genes in different cells. Again these files get destroyed during our growth and development. This happens in every living being… and as this happens the DNA a cellular material gets catabolized in to its elements. Then according to your theory of ATMA, it dies during catabolism!! But accorging to Hindu philosophy ATMA does not die.
2. In response to your first email : DNA is the hardware and the encoded info is the software. Death is when this info gets ”erased” while the hardware still remains.” Please note that DNA does carry informaion, however, this information immideately after death does not get destroyed,:”erased” or lost. This is how genes/DNA are isolated from cells and tissues of dead animals. When the DNA is isolated in biological experiments and transfected or introduce artificially in other living cells it has its original info, which can be studied experimentally. Isolated DNA can store informatin for thousands of years if preserved properly. Scientists have performed such experiments. Again at death the DNA/genes are still there, but according to Hinduism soul or ATMA leaves body!! So DNA/genes is not the ATMA.
3. In the second email you mentioned, “ We rationalists need to explain the difference between living and non-living in a scientific way.” However, one has to understand the scientific way clearly without any confusion. I am writting this after 49 years of research experience and 45 of this in Canada/USA, where I got my Ph.D. in Biochemistry and have performed research until three months back when I retired. In my opinion and experience, your imagination of linking DNA to soul does not stand scientific analysis.

I have debated this topic with traditional ”believers in everything” group for six months in one social magazine. They could not go beyond the ”faith” and the ”holy book says” arguments. It is nice to debate with someone who understands science. It would be interesting and educational to discuss this with you.
I have many open questions about the traditional defination of Soul. That has temped me to find some logical answers. Let us go one step at a time
Sure the traditional belief says that the soul leaves the body at the time of death. The time of death is defined for legal purposes as when the heart stops beating. However the whole body does not die at the same time as you have pointed out. different organs, specifically the tissues, continue to be ”live” for quite some time. No argument there.
Since the soul leaves the body at death, does it leave at one specific moment or does it leave little at a time as different organs die?
Since it leaves the body at death, when does it enter the body? We have to be non-living before the sould enters our body. What moment is it that we became alive?
I wish to continue this but one point at a time.

મને લાગે છે કે શ્રી મૂરજીભાઇ આત્માવાદીઓ અને અનાત્મવાદીઓ વચ્ચે કોઈક સમાધાનનો રસ્તો શોધવા માગે છે અને આત્માની નવી વ્યાખ્યા આપવાનો પ્રયાસ કરે છે.મને લાગે છે કે સરવાળે એવું થશે કે અનાત્મવાદીઓ નવી વ્યખ્યા પ્રમાણેના આત્માનો સ્વીકાર કરતા થઈ જશે. આત્માવાદીઓને એમના પક્ષમાં એક નવી દલીલ મળે છે.
આ સંદર્ભમાં શ્રી જયેન્દ્રભાઈએ જે મુદ્દા રજૂ કર્યા છે તે વિચાર માગી લે છે કારણ કે માત્ર વૈઞ્જાનિક દૃષ્ટિએ જ નહીં, બધી રીતે, પરાપૂર્વથી ચાલી આવેલી આત્માના અમરત્વની માન્યતા તો અકબંધ જ રહેવાની છે!
મારો ખ્યાલ છે કે આના કરતાં આપણે એ વાત પર લોકોનું ધ્યાન દોરવું જોઈએ કે ભારતમાં વૈદિક કાળથી જ આત્માના અસ્તિત્વનો સ્વીકાર કરનારા અને એનો અસ્વીકાર કરનારા લોકો હતા. ધર્મો પણ અનાત્મવાદી હતા. આત્માની કલ્પના પાછળ સામાજિક, રાજકીય અને મનોવૈઞ્જાનિક કારણો જણાતાં હોય તો એ બહાર લાવીને રેશનલિસ્ટોએ પોતાનો દૃષ્ટિકોણ સ્પષ્ટ કરવાની સાથે તટસ્થ બની જવું જોઈએ.
બીજી બાજુ, શ્રી મૂરજીભાઈ અંધશ્રદ્ધા ફેલાવે છે એમ ન કહી શકાય. હા, એ સાચું કે ’આત્મા’ પોતે જ અંધશ્રદ્ધાની પેદાશ હોય તો એને નવા વૈઞ્જાનિક જણાતા તર્કનો આધાર પૂરો પાડવાનો પ્રયાસ કરવાનો આરોપ એમના પર કદાચ આવે ખરો!
શ્રી જયેન્દ્રભાઈ પાસેથી પણ આશા રાખી શકાય કે શ્રી મૂરજીભાઈની ”થિયરી’મા ક્યાંય કચાશ રહી જતી હોય, કોઇ ’મિસિંગ લિંક’ હોય તો એ ઉમેરી શકાય કે કેમ, એ તેઓ સમજાવે.
મારો અંગત ખ્યાલ છે કે આત્મા અને સર્વવ્યાપક ઈશ્વરનો ખ્યાલ ઐતિહાસિક કારણોસર વિકસ્યો છે. શ્રી મૂરજીભાઈ આ ગાળો આઠ-દસ હજાર વર્ષનો માને છે પણ આ સમય ત્રણેક હજાર વર્ષથી વધારે નહીં હોય.

લેખ સુંદર છે. પણ પ્રશ્ન એ છે કે આ ઉત્ક્રાંતિ અંતે તો ‘જીવ થી શિવ’ ની યાત્રા જ દર્શાવે છે ને ….! જરા વિચારો આપણા પૂર્વજો વિજ્ઞાન માં કેટલા કાબેલ હશે. આપણા શાસ્ત્રો કહે છે તેમ અંતે તો આત્મા ઈશ્વરનું એક ઘટક જ સાબિત થાય છેને …આત્મા, ઈશ્વર બ્રહ્મ એ બધું જ અત્યંત ચોક્સઈપુર્વક વર્ણવાયું છે. જેમ hardware અને software વગર કોમ્પ્યુટર ના ચાલે તેમ જીવંત અને નિર્જીવ વગર ના ચાલે? પરંતુ શું કંઈ નિર્જીવ છે? Particle Physics શું કહે છે? આ વિષય વિવાદાસ્પદ અને ચર્ચા માંગીલે તેવો છે. છતાં ખુબ જ રસપ્રદ લેખ છે.

One more thing…If this world gets destroyed by some accident, do you mean soul, god and such things like, ‘who am i’ would also get destroyed…? billions of earths have been born and destroyed and yet soul, god still remain…Perhaps not possible to percieve by our 3 dimentional existance….Faith enters here…The very feeling of ‘I’ is worth exploring and questioning…

વનસ્પતી પણ સજીવ છે. એમાં પણ આત્માનો વાસ છે? એની ડાળ રોપવાથી બીજી વનસ્પતી પણ ઉગે છે.

”If earth gets destroyed” means several things. Only the life on earth could get destroyed by some accident but the planet earth survives or the whole earth could get incinerated and the gases escape in the outer space, or anything in between. whatever.
In any case, life form as we know it, will cease to be here. If there is life on any other planet in the universe, it does not have to be similar to the life on earth. The odds against it are phenomenal. It may not be even carbon based as we are.
The concept of God is another subject and is equally debatable as the soul we are talking about in this blog. It may be just the concept in our minds. We can not say it is same everywhere and survives. The basic Laws of nature are certainly same everywhere.
Sure, everything is worth exploring and questioning. But the ”shatras” or the religious leaders do not want us to question what is written there. I think some people give too much credit to what was written several thousand years ago and then updated many times over since then. That is another vast subject too complex to discuss briefly.
Let us see how much we can accomplish until the next blog is put on.

આત્મા જેવું કશું હોતું નથી.જે છે તે બ્રેઈન જ છે.આપણે જેને અંતર આત્માનો અવાજ કહીએ છીએ તે પણ અગાઉથી સ્ટોર થયેલી માહિતી મુજબ બ્રેઈન જ અવાજ મોકલે છે.શરીરના અબજો કોશ જીવંત હોય છે.એક એક કોષમાંથી એક આગવું શરીર પેદા કરી શકાય છે,ક્લોન દ્વારા.આ અબજો આત્મા હશે એક શરીરમાં?બધું સંચાલન બ્રેઈન દ્વારા જ થાય છે.હવે નવા ફિલોસોફર્સ બ્રેઈન જ આત્મા છે એવું માને છે.કોઈ અલગ આત્મા હોય તેવું નહિ.સીટી સ્કેન અને એમ આર આઈ જેવી આધુનિક પદ્ધતિઓ દ્વારા એવું માનવા પ્રેરાયા છે.એક શરીરમાં અબજો સેલ સિવાય અબજો બેક્ટેરિયા પણ રહેતા હોય છે.અને પેરેસાઈટ પણ રહેતા હોય છે.મતલબ એક શરીરમાં અબજો આત્મા?
Y અને X ક્રોમોજોમ આપણે બીજી પેઢીમાં ટ્રાન્સફર કરીએ છીએ,માટે Y અને X દ્વારા આપણે અમર છીએ.આપણાં DNA બીજી પેઢીમાં ટ્રાન્સફર કરી દીધા એટલે અમર.કોઈ પુનર્જન્મ થતો નથી.
માનવ જાતને પેદા થયે ૨૫ લાખ વર્ષ થયા.આશરે ૩૦ લાખ વર્ષ જુનું એક પૂર્ણ ફોસિલ મળ્યું છે.જે માનવ અને એપ્સ વચ્ચેનું હતું.એના પહેલા ૬૦ લાખ વર્ષ જુનું એક સહારાના રણ માંથી ફોસિલ મળ્યું છે જે બે પગે ચાલતું હતું.હોમોઈરેક્ટસ આખા એશિયામાં ફેલાયેલા હતા,પણ નાશ પામેલા,એમાંથી હોમોસેપિયન ઇવોલ્વ થયા.ચીનાઓ માને છે કે તેઓ હોમોઈરેક્ટસનાં સીધા વારસદાર છે,હોમોસેપીયનના નહિ.પણ તે ખોટું છે.
બ્રેઈન સોફ્ટવેર સમજો અને બાકીનું શરીર હાર્ડવેર.શરીર એક જાત જાતના કેમિકલનું સંયોજન માત્ર છે.

I am very much impressed with the interest, opinion and input of various readers. I am a Hindu and by reading and exposure have acquired some understanding of Hindu philosophy. I do not consider my self an expert in this area. As far my scientific training concern, yes, I am a scientist (Biochemist). So please read my comments in this discussion with the above limitations in mind.
My objection to Murjibhai’s concept of calling DNA/genes our ATMA is discussed in previous posting as well as in this posting below.
The aspect of ATMA at present to me is probably like “the six blind men and elephant story”. All the blind men were correct in their description of elephant (because that was their experience or knowledge), but none of them was correct.
Coming back to why DNA is not ATMA:
1. We can synthesize functional DNA; does this mean we synthesize ATMA (soul)?
2. According to Hindu philosophy all ATMA (jiva)s are part of God (Shiva), and hence by deduction they are same or equal. All DNAs are not same or equal or same, even though they are made from the same elements. They have different properties as expressed in variety of biological forms and functions.
3. We believe that at death the soul transmigrate, and takes another body, but DNA or genes do not. In the Jurassic Park theme DNA from fossilized animals was activated and transformed into dinosaurs… this is a scientific reality. Does this mean that the ATMA was trapped??
4. Organ transplant is a common procedure…does this mean that we transplant soul with this procedure? Because these organs do have functional DNA.
In my humble opinion, currently we do not have enough knowledge or experience to explain the nature of ATMA. Therefore, I will not venture to explain ATMA.

શ્રી મૂરજીભાઈ આત્માને આધુનિક વૈઞ્જાનિક પરિભાષામાં સમજાવવાનો પ્રયાસ કરે છે કારણ કે તેઓ આત્મા વિશેના વિવાદમાં પડવા માગતા નથી. એની અસર જે થાય તે. પરંતુ એમના પ્રયાસમાં આપે કેટલાક દેખીતા અને તર્કબદ્ધ પ્રશ્નો ઊભા કર્યા છે જે વધારે વિકસિત થિયરીની જરૂર સૂચવે છે. કદાચ આત્મા હોવાની થિયરી બને. અથવા એવું કહેવું પડે કે આ વિષય વિઞ્જાનનો નથી. માત્ર માન્યતાઓનો છે.
શ્રી મૂરજીભાઈની વાત સાચી છે કે આપણને સ્વતંત્ર રીતે પ્રશ્નો પૂછવાની ટેવ નથી પડી, શાસ્ત્રોને નામે બધું લોલેલોલ ચાલ્યા કરે છે. ચર્ચા તો થવી જ જોઈએ. શ્રી ભૂપેન્દ્રસિંહભાઈએ સ્પષ્ટ ઉત્તર આપ્યો જ છે – આત્મા છે જ નહીં! પરંતુ આવું માનનારા શ્રી ભૂપેન્દ્રસિંહભાઈ પહેલા અને એકલા જ નથી, કારણ કે હિન્દુ ચિંતનમાં ચાર્વાક પણ હતા, જે ચેતનને જડનો વિકાસ માનતા હતા
હું મારા મુદ્દા પર ફરી આવું કે આત્માના ખ્યાલના વિકાસનાં મૂળ આપણા આર્થિક-સામાજિક-રાજકીય વિકાસમાં શોધવાં પડશે. તત્વઞ્જાનનો વિકાસ શૂન્યાવકાશમાં નથી થતો, નક્કર સામાજિક પરિ્સ્થિતિઓમાં થાય છે. એટલે વૈઞ્જાનિક ખુલાસો કદાચ સ્યૂડો-સાયન્ટીફિક બની રહે. તીર છૂટી ગયા પછી પાછું નહીં વળે!

Here is my simple understanding of atma.
Think of it as energy which is used to run a device, in the physical world. In case of living beings, we haven’t found a way to transplant that energy into other beings (as we do in physical world, the energy can be used to turn on tv and the same can be used for running the computer).
Going by philosophy, atma is neither doer nor does it face any action (karta and bhokta). In the physical world, whatever we do with computers or TV, energy doesn’t have any interference with that other than to keep the device running.
Note: I am neither a scientist nor a reader of philosophy.
It will be interesting to hear Jayendraji & Murjibhai’s views as well. Pardon for making it too simplistic.

શ્રી જયેન્દ્રભાઈ પોતે વૈજ્ઞાનિક છે,એમની વાતો વૈજ્ઞાનિક તથ્ય છે,કોઈ ફિલોસોફી નથી.માટે જ હું કહું છું આત્મા જેવું કશું હોતું નથી.બીજું આપણે હજારો વર્ષ સુધી માનતા હતા કે પૃથ્વી સપાટ છે અને સૂર્ય ચંદ્ર એની આસપાસ ફરે છે,હજુ પણ જૈન મુનીઓ અને બીજા ઘણા બધા લોકો આવુજ માને છે.પણ હવે આ બધું ખોટું પુરવાર થયું જ છે,તેમ આત્મા અને પરમાત્માની વાતો પણ ખોટી હોઈ શકે.બેચાર હજાર વર્ષ જૂની માન્યતા હોય માટે સાચી સાબિત થઇ જતી નથી.કે ફલાણા ઋષીએ કહ્યું કે ફલાણા ભગવાને કહ્યું છે માટે આત્મા છે અને પરમાત્મા છે,કે અમર છે બધું પ્રમાણભૂત છે તેવું હોઈ શકે નહિ.એમની માન્યતાઓ પણ ખોટી હોઈ શકે.એનર્જીને પરમાત્મા માનો જે સર્વ વ્યાપક છે.

વીવેકપંથી સામયીક અને આ બ્લોગ મારફતે શ્રી મૂરજીભાઈનો પરીચય થયો એ મને તો બક્ષીસ જેવું જ લાગ્યું છે. આ નીમીત્તે કેટલુંક ચર્ચાયું તેણે પણ કેટલાક પરીચયો આપ્યા.
બે છેડાનાં વીરોધાભાસી મંતવ્યો વચ્ચે પણ ક્યાંક સમાધાનરુપ સામ્ય હોય છે જ. એકબીજાનો વીરોધ જ કરતાં રહેવાથી સત્ય મળતું હશે, પણ તે મોડું મળવાનું, ને કલુષીતતા જન્મશે તે વધારામાં.
સાચો માર્ગ બન્ને છેડાઓ વચ્ચે રહેલા સમાન તત્ત્વને સમજીને એને પ્રસારવાનો છે. કમ્પ્યુટરની પરીભાષામાં આ વાતને મૂકીને શાશ્વત અને નાશવંત તત્ત્વોને સમજાવવાનો બહુ જ શક્તીશાળી પ્રયોગ લેખકે કર્યો છે. લેખક ઉપરાંત સામયીક અને બ્લોગના સંચાલકોનો આભાર માનીએ તેટલો ઓછો છે.

જીવન નજર સમક્ષ પાંગરે છે તે સૌ જોઈ-જણી-અનુભવી શકીએ છીએ..
જેમ કે બીજ માં થી મૂળ/છોડ/થડ/પાન/ફૂલ ફળ અને બીજ…
આ ઘટના ક્રમ ને સ્વીકારવા માં વળી વિવાદ ને ક્યાં સ્થાન છે?
આ સનાતન સત્ય ને બીજા વૈજ્ઞાનિક પુરાવા કે સાબિતી ની શી જરૂર છે??
ચેતના ને આત્મા તરીકે સ્વીકારવામાં આવે ત્યારે બધી વાત પૂરી થઇ જાય છે.

every atom of a nonliving element is alive with electrons and other bodies constantly in motion. DNA or gene ultimately are made up of particles throbing with motion-life. Some have sense organs and some do not have. What is constant ‘I’ in every sensible being? Does it not transcend from dieing being to other taking birth…? Destroy a computer system and all data, programs are lost..But here, even after death, data are transfered to other birth as ‘janmasanskar’ not via wifi but with Jiva that is an embodied form of aatma. Anyway very interesting , mind blowing and perhaps unfathamable subject..

Yesterday I had asked a question about the time when an outside soul enters our body. I had asked the same question to many believers and non-believers before. I never got an answer to my question because there is NO LOGICAL ANSWER.
We come in to existence at the time of the conception. At that very moment we are full of life ready to split, multiply and grow. Even before that our father’s sperm and mothers egg are living cells. Besides, these two cells contain all the life info. necessary. Every other cell in our body has only the partial info. needed for its assigned function.
Our parent’s cells and we are full of life all along. Whether we call it life-force, soul, spirit, Chetna, or whatever, it already exists in us. There is no need at all for an outside Soul to enter our body.
DNA is matter. Info is different. This is hard for many people to visualize.
I need to go right now but will continue later today. Many points need to be clarified.

ખરેખર તો આ જ વિવાદનો વિષય છે, સાબીતી નહીં. તારમાં વીજળીનો પ્રવાહ અદૃશ્ય છે, પરંતુ મૅ્ટર અને એનર્જી એક જ વસ્તુ છે. સવાલ એ છે કે ચેતના પંચમહાભૂતથી અલગ વસ્તુ છે? બન્નેનું પરસ્પર રૂપાંતર થાય કે નહીં? મૅટર અને એનર્જી એક જ છે અને પંચમહાભૂત એટલે મૅટર જ.
એટલે એમ પણ કહી શકાય કે શરીરનાં જડ-તત્વોનું વિલક્ષણ સંયોજન જે શક્તિને જન્મ આપે છે તેને આપને ચેતના તરીકે ઓળખીએ છીએ. આ જ આત્મા છે. જડ-તત્વોમાં જ્યારે વિકૃતિ પેદા થાય ત્યારે એ સીમાની અંદર બનેલા શક્તિરૂપનો, એટલે કે ચેતનાનો (આત્માનો) પણ હંમેશ માટે અંત આવે છે. ચેતના બહારથી આવીને પંચમહાભૂત સાથે મળીને જીવન બનાવે છે એમ નહીં પણ જડ તત્વો પોતે જ સક્રિય બનીને જીવન બનાવે છે. ચેતનાનો લોપ ધીમેધીમે થાય છે એટલે જ આત્મા ચાલ્યો જાય તે પછી પણ મગજ જીવંત રહે છે.
રહી વાત, ’હું’ના ભાવની. આ તો માત્ર સ્મૃતિજન્ય અનુભવ છે. જડનું અસ્તિત્વ કદી ચર્ચાનો વિષય નથી બન્યું, વિવાદ હંમેશાં ચેતના વિશે રહે છે.
આત્માની અમરતાના ખ્યાલમાંથી પુનર્જન્મનો ખ્યાલ જન્મ્યો અને પાપ-પુણ્યના ફળ પર આધારિત કર્મનો સિદ્ધાંત આવ્યો છે, જેનાં પરિણામો સામાજિક સ્તરે બહુ ખરાબ જોવા મળ્યાં છે.
શ્રી મૂરજીભાઇ અને શ્રી જયેન્દ્રભાઈ આ બાબતમાં વધુ પ્રકાશ પાડી શકશે.

O.K., I will try to clarify few points now.
(I have not learned to write in Gujarati on computer. That explains my switch of the language. Please tolerate it)
We have established that there is no need for an outside soul to enter our body to make us alive. This one reality in itself is sufficient to counter the traditional belief of separate body and soul. Whatever we choose to call it, the soul/spirit is part of us. If a male or female has any defect in their reproductive system, they cannot produce another life.
Let us go back to my explanation of the ‘’information’’ that separates living from the non-living, which I am calling ‘’spirit’’. I will try to explain this with an example.
We write on a paper (a matter) with an ink (also a matter). Everyone can see those black lines on a paper but only those who understand that particular language understand the meaning of the writing. Here the meaning is the information, not the writing itself. Every sentence has a different meaning.
A trained person who does not know that language can probably identify the correct language from the sample of dozens of languages given to him. Still he is far from making any sense of the writing.
I do not know what scientists do when they synthesize DNA. I know DNA is useful in establishing the relationship of people etc. Could it also tell what function that particular cell was meant to perform? I have no knowledge of the details.
When we pass blood or protein in our urine, it tells the doc. that there is something wrong with our kidneys. Does it also tell them which sequence of our DNA is damaged? These are too fine points to go in detail here.
My point is that the info in our DNA is lot more complex than in other animal’s DNA because we perform complex tasks. The traditional ‘’Atma’’ cannot pass thru different species just by doing ‘’good deeds’’. To me it doesn’t make sense.

That is analogous to how machines run. Our body needs food, water, air & many other things in order to run well.
What brings the body to existence before we put food in it?
How is it that some people have survived for days or month without the raw materials?
Initially, it could be body energy that can sustain without any intake. How about at a later stage? Mental Power?
For living beings, I think there is dual energy. 1st that brings the being into existence. The 2nd that keeps it going, with help of food, air, water etc.
I am sure, we aren’t machines that run on food, water etc. If the materials added to the plant can keep the plant going, having food, water etc will keep the living being alive “forever”. You know that it is not the case.

My Dear Sirs,
Souls/Spirits never enter any body first unless and untill it is invited knowingly or unknowingly and unwillingly. It is because, unaware of consequences, we are doing minimum 1000 of things in 24 given hours without our knowledge or will and that work decides future of ours. That work may be phyisical or spiritual one and same facts also applicable to our ancestores and to their ancestors and to their ancestors and the chain goes on and on and stops at final or first human being (DNA concept), which is known and very much famous as Adam in western world. Who committed a sin or disobeyed or kept aside what God instructed him not to do. But he accepted what he and his companion was enticed by satan. Because of this fact of sin, which has come down and reached to present day generation into present day man. And due to that sin man is surviving unpeaceful life in whatever manner. Our Father God suffers all the pain we are suffering since last 4-5 thousands of years and finally Our Father has given us a chance to save HIS own children in the form of Shastras, Bible, Quran etc. When one reads these words, transformation takes place into his mind and he regulate his nature and control his own physical body and world goes on.
By describing this little liens I have tried to show that unless you accept any “Atmic” fact, his DNA will never change and whatever he has carried thusfar, will cary forward to next generation but once he accept these atmic chanage his DNA stores this fact into his physica manner and pass on to next generation and his future thus acts likewise………
So I believe, physical world is very much controlled by Atmic/Spiritual world and final result is decided by Supreme Spiritual Power and HIS name is “Almighty FAther God” or “Paramatma.”

DNA is like a disc of a Computer on which we are writing or preserve what we like.
Now the likings are of two types good or bad.
Disc is physical thing and likings are spiritual things.
Storing process occurs only when our mind hears from our likings.
If one is slave than he has to obey his boss’s command thus not choice but to obhey.
But when likings comes independently, we give preference to the command of “atma” reins our mind, heavenly or else.
Againt it helps me to prove that physical matter is ruled only by “atmik” person, “satanic or heavenly”………..
And yes, only mankind has “atma” else has “chetna” or “life” but no atma as they can not change or effect the nature or mater with their mind as humanbeing very proudly does. This special power of man apart from other living beings in this universe again proves that humanbeings are childrens of GOD Almighty or angles of Almighty Father God whereas rest of the living beings are only for support of humanbeing given by Almighty Father God.

આપણી ચર્ચા “વૈજ્ઞાનીક દૃષ્ટીએ આત્માનું સ્વરુપ”માં DNA અથવાનતો તેમા રહેલી INFO (ઇન્ફો) આત્મા છે કે કેમ તે સવાલ પર છે.
આ બાબત માટે અમુક વાચકોએ શક્તિ એજ આત્માનું સ્વરુપ છે એમ સુચવ્યુ. આ વિધાન પણ અન્ય વિધાનોની જેમ અપુર્ણ અથવ તો પાંગળુ છે. કારણ કે જ્યારે મૃત્યુ થાય છે ત્યારે શરીરના કોષોમા MITOCHONDRIA (કોષોમા શક્તિ પેદા કરતો ભાગ) હજુ જિવંત હોય છે. મારુ સંશોધન MITOCHONDRIA પર છે. એક બીજી વાત કે MITOCHONDRIAમા પણ DNA હોય છે!

These are too fine points to go in detail here. તો આ બાબતમા જણાવવાનુ કે વારસાગત રોગોમા DNAમા ખામી હોય (mutation), પણ દા.ત.VIRU અથવાતો બેક્ટેરિયાથી રોગ થયો હોય તો દરદીના DNAમા ખામી હોતી નથી. અહીં સવાલ થાય કે MUTANT DNA એટલે શું ખરાબ આત્મા? કહેવાનું તાત્પર્ય એ કે DNA (INFO) આત્મા નથી.
અત્રે મારા રેશનાલીસ્ટ મિત્રોને જણાવવાનું કે, “સુઠના ગાંગડે ગાંધી ન થવાય”. અને આપણો જે ગીતાનો વારસો છે તે “એઠવાડ સાથે અન્ન”ની જેમ ફેંકી ન દેવાય.
હવે જરા આત્માની વાતો ગીતાના સહારે કરીયે…
હિન્દુ ફિલોસોફીમા આત્મા માટે કહ્યું છે કે તેને કોય પણ ગુણો નથી. ઈશ્વર માટે પણ પાયાની દ્રુષ્ટિએ આ જ કહેવાયુ છે. આના વિરોધમા માનવીનુ વર્ણન ભૌતિક છે. એટલે જ કદાચ આપણે બધું ભૌતિક ઈન્દ્રિયોથી સમજવાની આદત પાડી છે. આ ચર્ચામા પણ આપણા પ્રયાસો આજ છે.
ગીતાના ૨ જા અદ્યાય (સાંખ્ય યોગ)મા આત્મા વીષે ઘણી સમજ આપી છેઃ
તેમાથી અહીં બે ષ્લોકો વિષે વાત કરી છેઃ
૧૭મા ષ્લોકમા કહ્યુ છે કે અવિનાશી તો એને જાણ કે જેનાથી સંપૂણ સંસાર વ્યાપ્ત છે. આ અવિનાશીનો વિનાશ કોય પણ કરી શક્તો નથી.
૨૦મા ષ્લોકમા કહ્યુ છે કે (આત્મા) એ નથી કદી જન્મતો કે નથી કદી મરતો. એ ઉત્પન્ન થઈને ફરીથી થવાવાળો નથી. એ જન્મરહીત, નિત્યનિરંતર રહેવાવાળો શાશવત અને અનાદિ છે.
શરીરના મરતા પણ તે મરતો નથી.
આ ઉપરાંત ૨૧-૨૫ ષ્લોકોમા આ મુદ્દા પર વધુ પ્રકાશ પાડ્યો છે.
છેવટે ગીતા માટે ભારતના જ નહિ પણ વિદેશના મહાનુભાવોએ શું કહ્યું છે તે જરા વાંચો અને વિચારોઃ

આપે જે અવતરણો આપ્યાં છે તેમાં આત્માની તો વાત જ નથી! ગીતા વિશે તો અહીં વિવાદ પણ નથી. “આત્મા નથી હોતો” એમ કહેવું એમાં ગીતાનો અનાદર નથી. માત્ર જુદો મત છે. ચાર્વાકનો લોકાયતવાદ આપણી દાર્શનિક વિચારધારા પર છવાયેલો હોત તો આજે આપણે અનાત્મવાદી હોત. એ સંયોગોમાં પણ કોઈ લઘુમતી એવી હોત કે જે “આત્મા છે” એવો જુદો મત ધરાવતી હોત. દુનિયામાં અનેક ધર્મો છે અને ’આત્મા’ જેવા તત્વ બાબતમાં એમના દૃષ્ટિકોણમાં સમાનતા નથી. આનો અર્થ શો સમજવો? એ જ કે આત્માને શરીરની જેમ objectively સમજી શકાય એમ નથી.
સૂંઠને ગાંગડે ગાંધી ન થવાય એ તો સાચું જ છે પણ કદાચ રેશનાલિસ્ટોને એમાંથી, (કઈં નહીં તો અમુક હદ સુધી) બાકાત રાખવા પડશે. કારણ કે કોઈક (ગુરુ, ગ્રંથ કે પરંપરા) કહે તે માની લેવું એ સહેલું છે પણ કોઇક કહે તેના પર સ્વતંત્ર વિચાર કરવો એ અઘરૂં છે. આવા સૂંઠને ગાંગડે ગાંધી બની બેઠેલા ગુરુઓ ભૂતળમાં અપાર છે.
શ્રી મૂરજીભાઇના આ લેખને મેં આત્મવાદીઓ અને અનાત્મવાદીઓ વચ્ચે સમાધાનના પ્રયાસ જેવો માન્યો છે. આવી જરૂર ખરી કે કેમ એ મારો વિષય નથી. હું તો આત્માની થિયરીનાં મૂળ ઐતિહાસિક, આર્થિક, સામાજિક કારણોમાં શોધું છુ, જેનેટિક્સમાં નહીં. પરંતુ આપે એમની ’સાયન્ટીફિક થિયરી’ની ઘણી વિશદ સમીક્ષા કરી. એમના વિચારોમાં missing links દેખાડી, જે આપ પૂરી કરી શકશો એવું લાગતું હતું અને મેં લખ્યું પણ છે. હજી આશા છોડતો નથી, કાં તો સાયન્ટીફિક રીતે એવું તારણ નીકળશે કે આત્મા છે અથવા આત્મા નથી. આપના વિચારો જાણવા સૌ મિત્રો આતુર હશે જ.

આપને અભિનંદન આવા અમુલ્ય અને “અલભ્ય પોસ્ટની સદી” મારવા માટે, પણ હુ તો પ્રાર્થના કરુ છુ કે આવા અલભ્ય જ્ઞાનસભર, અર્થસભર, માનવજાતિના કલ્યાણરુપ આપનો અમુલ્ય બ્લોગ જલ્દીથી પણ સંયમપુર્વક ૧૦૦૦ પુરા કરે અને જગતનો “નંબર એક” બ્લોગ બને એવી પરમાત્માને પ્રભુ યીશુ ના નામે પ્રાર્થના કરુ છે..અને વધુ ને વધુ ગુજરાતી અને અન્ય ભાષિય લોકો આપના બ્લોગ પર આવીને ગુજરાતી પણ શીખે અને ગુજરાતનુ નામ રોશન કરે એવે પ્રાર્થના પણ માંગુ છુ……. અભિનંદન….સાહેબ

Most human knowledge is derived by observation, analysis, interpretation, experimentation, imagination and extrapolation. Until European renaissance, there was little experimentation, but lot of imagination and extrapolation. Whatever was said in religious books was taken as the ultimate truth. This was one of the main reasons for mankind’s slow progress, as it was not open to questioning.
European ‘awakening’ 500 years ago put lot more emphasis on experimentation and independent verification. Nothing is taken for granted even if someone with impeccable credential says it. That line of thinking is called science. We can see the result of that shift in problem solving.
I could respond to the latest comments on this blog but it is not going to take us anywhere, as this is never ending process when debating parties are firm with their viewpoints. If we are willing to accept that the people writing these great books were also humans like us and were not infallible, there is a possibility of further dialogue. If they knew everything, why were they so wrong about the shape, size and place of mother Earth? They knew lot more about the stars and planets.
The simple answer is ”very limited observation” from our vantage point.
I have already written more than dozen articles on related subject and more are yet to come. As said earlier, Govindbhai has shown willingness to post those here at his convenience. That should answer many of the points raised here.
There is one point I like to add to the ongoing topic. Old time intellectuals really may not have known about what goes on inside female body before, during and after conception. When the pregnancy becomes visible and the baby’s heart starts to beat, someone interpreted that as the ‘Atma’ has entered the body. Meaning the baby was non-living until then. Everything related to it was then extrapolated from this. Now we know that the fetus is live from the very first moment. Outside ‘Atma’ has no reason to enter to make it live.

આપની દરેકે દરેક વાતો સાચી જ અને વખાણવા લાયક છે, વિજ્ઞાન ની પ્રગતિની અને સાબીતીની વાત તો વખાણવા લાયક છે એ વાત માં કોઈ શંકા રહેતી જ નથી પણ છતાય આપના વિજ્ઞાનની આગળ આત્માની પ્રક્રિયા કેવી રીતે કાર્ય કરે છે એ સમજાવવાની કોશિષ કરુ છુ. સુરજને દિવો દેખાડવાની કોશિશ માફ કરજો સરજી.
ગર્ભની રચના પહેલા જ આત્મા, પરમાત્માની કરામત અને ઈચ્છા દ્વારા જ માતા-પિતાના પ્રેમ ભર્યા સંયોગે અને લગ્ન વ્યવસ્થાએ જ આત્મા માતા-પિતાના મનમાં સ્થાપિત થાય છે અને પછીજ અનુકુળ સંયોગે ગર્ભ (ફોટ્સ) આકાર લેવા લાગે છે. માતા-પિતાના મનમાં પરમાત્માના દોરવ્યા એમનો આત્મા પ્રથમ લગ્ન અથવા તો આજની ભાષામાં આકર્શણ, પ્રેમમાં પડી સંતાન ની ઈચ્છા જાગ્યા પછી સ્વસ્થ સંતાન જન્મે છે અથવા તો કોઈ નાલાયક બીચારી બેસહારા અબળા ઉપર અત્યાચાર કરે ત્યારે જ અસ્વસ્થ ગર્ભ (ફોટ્સ) આકાર લે છે. અને ગર્ભ(ફોટસ) ના આકાર થવા પહેલા પવિત્ર અથવા દુષ્ટ આત્માએ પોતપોતાના ઘણા કાર્યો કરી લીધા હોય છે અને એ બાળકના જન્મ પછી નક્કિ થાય છે કે એ પવિત્ર આત્માનુ કાર્ય હતુ કે દુષ્ટ આત્માનુ.
એટલે પ્રકૃતીના દરેકે દરેક અંગો (જડ અથવા ચેતન) ઉપર જ્યાં સુધી પરમાત્માના ઈચ્છાદુત આત્માઓ, મનુષ્ય નામના પ્રાક્રુતિક સાધનમાં, પોતાની ઈચ્છા ન જોડે ત્યાં સુધી એ મનુષ્ય (ચેતનામય સાધન) કશુંય કરી નથી શકતો. એક પથ્થર (જડ સાધન) હજ્જારો વરસો સુધી જ્યાં પડ્યો હોય ત્યા જ પડ્યો રહે છે સિવાય કે કોઈ માણસ એને ઉઠાવીને એને કોઈ આકાર ન આપે. કોઈ પણ કાર્ય થતા પહેલા મનુષ્યના વિચારો જે આત્માઓના હુકમ જ હોય છે, એના મનમાં એની બુધ્ધિ દ્વારા જન્મે છે (બુધ્ધિ પણ પવિત્ર અને દુષ્ટ આત્માઓ દ્વારા દોરવાયેલી હોય છે) એને વૈજ્ઞાનિક જગતમાં પ્લાનિંગ કહેવાતુ હશે કદાચ.
એ પછી માણસ નુ મન એ યોજના પર કાર્ય પાર પાડવા વ્યાકુળ અથવા અધિરો થઈ જતો હોય છે અને એને અંતિમ રુપે આપે છે. અને એ કાર્ય સુકાર્ય ત્યારે જ ઠરે છે જ્યારે એ યોજનાઓ પરમેશ્વરે સુચવ્યા હોય એ મારગે આગળ વધતી હોય એટલે કે માણસાઈમાં રહીને એ કાર્ય કરતો હોય. અને જો એ કાર્ય પરમેશ્વરના ઠરાવ્યા પ્રમાણે માણસાઈ બહારની યોજના પ્રમાણે થતુ હશે તો એ દરેક ઠેકાણે ઠોકર અને લોકોનો તિરસ્કાર જ પામશે.
એટમ બોંબ બન્યો એ એટોમીક એનર્જી માટે લાખો ગણુ ઉત્ત્મ કાર્ય કહેવાય પણ એજ એટમ બોંબની થીયરી આતંકવાદીઓના હાથે ચડી જશે તો? એટલે વિજ્ઞાન સારુ છે પણ એથીએ ઉત્તમ તો પરમાત્માનો પ્રેમમય ડર, માનવતા, માણસાઈ, વિશ્વબંધુત્વ જરુરી છે, કેમ કે વિશ્વના દરેકે દરેક મનુષ્ય એ પરમપિતા પરમેશ્વરનુ સંતાન છે એ ભાવ હ્રદયમાં ઠરી ઠામ થવો જરુરી છે અને એ ભાવ જે થોથાઓ સિખવે છે એ કોઈને કોઈ ધરમના જ થોથા હોય છે જે પવિત્ર આત્માએ લખાવેલા હોય છે (જો કે એમાયે છુપાયેલો સાચોખોટો અપવાદ પરમેશ્વરે સુચવેલા વિવેક દ્વારા જાણી લેવો જરુરી રહે છે નહિ તો અંધશ્રધ્ધા અથવા કુશ્રધ્ધા ઠરે છે.)
અને એ થોથાઓમાં, ગીતામાં, શાસ્ત્રોમાં બાઈબલમાં, કુરાનમાં, ગ્રંથસાહેબમાં જે લખેલુ જ્યારે વંચાય છે ત્યારે માણસમાં રહેતો આત્મા જાગી ઉઠે છે અને એ માણસ પાપના કાર્યો ન કરતા માનવસેવાના કામો કરે છે અને એ કામો કરવા માટે નશ્વર વિજ્ઞાનનો સહારો લે છે એટલે મારા મતે તો વિજ્ઞાન એ આત્માનુ દાસ છે, શુધ્ધાત્મા એને માનવોધ્ધાર માટે ઉપયોગ કરે છે અને દુષ્ટાત્માઓ એને માનવ વિનાશ માટે જાણતા અને અજાણતા કરે છે. દા.ત. ફુડ એડ્લ્ટ્રેશનની દેન વિજ્ઞાન જ છે, કરચોરીની દેન પણ સાઈંટીફીક એકાઉંટંસી જ છે, ખુન કરીને ફરતા ફરવુ એ પંણ આધુનિક અદાલતીય વિજ્ઞાન નથી શું?
“વિજ્ઞાન સુખ આપશે પણ શાંતિ તો ફક્ત પરમાત્મા નુ શરન જ આપશે”
એટલે મારા મતે “પરમાત્મા” ના દોરવ્યા જ આગળ વધવુ એ અતિ ઉત્તમ મારગ છે.

ગમે તે કહેવાય, લખાય, મનાય ..
જીવનનું મૂળ તત્વ શું છે? એ હજુ સુધી વિજ્ઞાન શોધી શક્યું નથી- અથવા શોધી શક્યું હોય તો તેની મને તો ખબર નથી જ.
પણ એ મૂળ ભૌતિક તો નથી જ.
આ બધા વિતંડાવાદમાં પડવા કરતાં …
હાલની ઘડીમાં આનંદથી જીવવુ — આજની ઘડી રળિયામણી ગણવી
અને શક્તિ અને સમયનો ઉપયોગ એમાં ગાળવો
એમાં મને શાણપણ જણાયું છે.
આ લેખ મારા આ મન્તવ્યને લગતી એક કલ્પના…
સામે દુર આંખોને ઠંડક આપતું, લીલીછમ્મ ધરતીનું મનોહારી દ્રશ્ય છે. તમે કલ્પનાની પાંખે ઉડીને તેની નજીક ને નજીક જતા જાઓ છો. પ્રતીક્ષણ તે લીલો પટ્ટો મોટો ને મોટો થતો જાય છે. તમારું ક્ષીતીજ આ લીલી ઝાંયથી ઘેરાવા માંડે છે. હવે તમારી ચારે બાજુ આ લીલો રંગ છવાઈ જાય છે.
જેમ આ લીલાશ નજીક આવતી જાય છે; તેમ તમે નાના ને નાના થતા જાઓ છો. એ હરીયાળીની ઠંડકમાં તમને તમારા સંકોચાતા કદનો ખયાલ જ આવતો નથી. હવે તમે ચારે બાજુ આ હરીયાળીની વચ્ચે ઘેરાઈ ગયા છો. તમને હવે લીલા સીવાય બીજો કોઈ રંગ દેખાતો નથી. ઘાસનાં તણખલાં હવે વીશાળ નારીયેળીનાં પાન જેવાં લાગી રહ્યાં છે. તમે એક જંતુની જેમ તેની ઉપર બેસી તેની ઠંડકનો સ્પર્શ માણી રહ્યા છો. તમારું જગત હવે લીલું છમ્મ બની ગયું છે. પરીકથામાં માણેલા મધુર વીશ્વની અંદર તમે મહાલી રહ્યા છો. ઈડનનો બગીચો તમારી ચારેપાસ હેલ્લારા મારી રહ્યો છે. આ લીલા સાગરના લીલ્લોળે હીલ્લોળે તમારા દીલમાંય અપરંપાર આનંદનો મહાસાગર ઘુ ઘુ કરતો ઘુઘવી રહ્યો છે. તમે આ આનંદના સાગરમાં ડુબી જવા, તેની સાથે એકાકાર બની જવા લાલાયીત બની ગયા છો. તમારા ઉત્સાહને પ્રતીધ્વનીત કરતો મંદ મંદ સમીર આ લીલા સાગરને હીંચોળી રહ્યો છે.
અને તમે એક ઠેકડો ભરીને એ લીલાંછમ્મ પાનની અંદર કુદકો મારો છો. બાજુમાંથી એક વીશાળ નળીમાંથી પાનના કણકણને જીવન સીંચતા પાણીની નદી વહી રહી છે. લીલાં લીલાં અસંખ્ય કણ સુર્યના કીરણોથી તપ્ત બની ફુલી ને સંકોચાઈ રહ્યાં છે- શ્વસી રહ્યાં છે. હરેક શ્વાસે નળીમાંથી પાણી તેમની અંદર પ્રવેશે છે. અને હરેક ઉછ્વાસે તે કણે બનાવેલું મીશ્ટ પકવાન પાણીની સાથે પાછું જાય છે. તમે પાનના હરેક શ્વાસની સાથે તાદાત્મ્ય અનુભવી રહ્યા છો. જીવનનો એ ધડકતો, ફરકતો રાસ તમારા જીવનતાલની સાથે એક્તાલ બનવા માંડે છે.
અને આ આનંદનો તીવ્રતમ અનુભવ કરવા તમે હવે બીજો ઠેકડો મારીને એક કણની અંદર પ્રવેશો છો.
અને આ શું? અહીં તો કોઈ ઠંડક જ નથી, બધી શીતળતા વીદાય લઈ ચુકી છે. ગરમ ગરમ ભઠ્ઠીની અંદર તમે શેકાઈ રહ્યા છો. અહીં તો બાળી નાંખે તેવા જલદ તેજાબ ધખધખી રહ્યા છે. તમારા સમગ્ર હોવાપણાને ગ્રસીને ઓહીયાં કરે તેવી પાનના એ કણની હોવાપણાની ચીરંતન ભુખ તમારો કોળીયો કરવા આતુરતાથી તમારી તરફ ધસી રહી છે. એ તેજાબના સાગરની મધ્યમાંથી કોઈક અજાણ્યું જીવન પોતાના અસ્તીત્વ સીવાયના બીજા કોઈ ખયાલ સીવાય, તમારા પ્રાણને ઝબ્બે કરવા આદેશો આપી રહ્યું છે.
તમે એક્દમ ગભરાઈને પારોઠનાં પગલાં ભરવા માંડો છો. પણ તમે હવે સાવ અસહાય છો. નાના બનવાની આ પ્રક્રીયા અપરીવર્તનશીલ છે. તમે હવે પાછા તમારા અસલી રુપમાં નથી આવી શકતા. તમે આ કેદમાંથી ભાગવાનો મરણીયો પ્રયત્ન કરો છો. પણ બહારથી કુમળી અને હરીત લાગતી એ કણની ક્રુર દીવાલ હવે પોલાદ જેવી બની ગઈ છે. તમે આ કેદમાં થોડીક જ સેકંડો દુર રહેલા તમારા અંતની નજીક ને નજીક ખસી રહ્યા છો અને એ કાળઝાળ તેજાબ તમને ઘેરી વળે છે. એક જ ક્ષણ અને તમે પણ એ ક્લોરોફીલ બની જવાના છો.

અને તમે પસીને રેબઝેબ, આ દીવાસ્વપ્નમાંથી સફાળા ઝબકીને જાગી જાઓ છો. સામે દુર એ જ હરીયાળી ફરી પાછી વીલસી રહી છે.
જીવનનું સૌદર્ય શું અને જીવનની ક્રુરતા શું , એ બધાં સત્યો તમને હવે સાવ નગ્ન રીતે સમજાઈ ગયાં છે. સત્ય બહુ જ કડવું હોય છે; સત્ય બહુ જ અસહ્ય હોય છે; સત્ય બહુ જ કઠોર હોય છે – એ સત્ય સમજી તમારા સત્યશોધનના ધખારા પર પુર્ણ વીરામ મુકવું કે કેમ તેવું તમે વીચારતા થઈ જાઓ છો.
અને …. આ મામલામાં વધુ ઉંડા ઉતરવા કરતાં ‘ આજની ઘડી રળીયામણી’ ના તમને મળેલાં મહામુલ્ય રત્ન જેવાં જીવનસુત્ર અને જીવનશૈલીમાં તમારો વીશ્વાસ હવે દ્રઢ બની ગયો છે

If we take two examples in context, it sheds some light on the topic.
1) Let us go back to origin of life. Let us assume just the first cell which could be termed as living organism. Where does it come from? Just the combination of DNAs and metabolism make it alive? If so, this a chance of one in 100 trillion possible combinations of electron-proton-neutron. Even if know exact combination of a virus, we cannot put life with just combining organic material e.g DNA.
2) When a person dies, even with life support system which keeps his/her body organs working, the person is not alive.
OK. To counter argument these, let us assume that synthetic life in lab is possible up to some extent. If all necessary ingredients are brought together, it brings life to natural cell.
So, what is true? I believe that all the tiny elements of this universe has potential to come to life! When in right conditions, the collection of elements function as living organism. That allows possibility of possessing soul by every element in this universe. When more particles come together, they act as “collective” soul. Our ancient texts have referred to this as PRAANA. Every particle has PRAANA is what is said in ancient texts. That PRAANA is not soul though. Living organism at physical level (in 4 dimensions) attract “something” from higher dimensions.
We believe scientists whose theories can be proved by only 10, whose theories can be understood by 100, and whose theories can be used by 1000. But, we do not want to believe RUSHIs whose theories can be proved by every individual, whose theories can be understood by 1000, and whose theories can be used by 10! Isn’t that ironic?
I have not realized theory of soul yet. But, I can say for sure that I have got glimpses of it so far in my life following certain theory and am pursuing it further. If that makes me good human being and if that prevents me from obstructing others, I must follow it.

આ આત્મા વીશે છેલ્લા ૨-૩ હજાર વર્ષમાં ભારતમાં હીન્દુઓ અને જૈનોએ જે ડીંગ હાકેલ એમાંથી આખો દેશ વીવીધ જાતી અને ટુકડીમાં વહેંચાઈ ગયો. આ આત્મા પછી પરમાત્મા, અધ્યાત્મા, પુર્વ જન્મ, પુનઃજન્મ, નરક, સ્વર્ગ અને મોક્ષની રચના થઈ અને તુત ચાલ્યુ અને કર્મ દાખલ થઈ ગયો તે એટલે હદે કે વીધવા અને દલીત પણ સમજવા લાગ્યા કે કર્મ ને કારણે વીધવા થવું પડયુ કે દલીતના ઘરે જન્મ લેવો પડયો. મધપુડામાં મધમાખીઓ સંપીને રહી શકે પણ આ હીન્દુઓ અને જૈનોના ફીરક્કાઓ સંપી ન શકે.

Someone invented guns & tanks, it has been used in war to kill people. Is the problem the tank or the people who use it to kill other people? or the government who pushes for the war?
Karma in it simple sense means duty or action & its consequences.
If a lady thinks/feels that it is due to her bad karma or past karma, it is her (wrong) understanding of it & not the law of karma itself.
Try putting your hands on the stove. This is a simple example of karma. If you don’t get your fingers burnt, does it mean that you did good karma?. If you get your fingers burnt, does it mean, you had bad karma in past/present?

બંદુક અને ટૅંકની શોધ મારવા મા્ટે, લડાઈ માટે થઈ છે. બંદુક હળ નથી અને ટૅંક ટ્રૅકટર નથી, કે આપણે એમ કહીએ કે એનો ઉપયોગ કરનારો માણસ ખરાબ છે, બંદુક અને ટૅંક નહીં. એ માણસની ખરાબ વ્રુત્તિઓનાં પ્રતીક છે. અને તે સિવાય એનો બીજો સદુપયોગ છે જ નહીં.
સ્ત્રીની ’understanding’ની વાત કરીએ તો તે સાથે પુરુષની ‘understanding’ની પણ વાત કરવી જોઈએ. સ્ત્રી પોતે વિધવા થઈ જાય અને એમાં પોતાનાં ખરાબ કર્મોને જવાબદાર માને તેને આપણે સ્ત્રીની ખોટી સમજણ ભલે કહી દઈએ પણ આ બાબતમાં પુરુષની સમજણ શી હશે? મોટા ભાગે તો પુરુષ પણ એવું જ સમજતો હશે કે સ્ત્રી વિધવા થઈ તે એનાં પૂર્વજન્મનાં પાપને કારણે!
આ તો થઈ સ્ત્રી કે પુરુષની understandingની વાત. ખરેખર તો ‘understanding’ની વ્યાખ્યા શી કરવી, એ કેમ બંધાય છે એ પોતે જ વિચારવાનો મુદ્દો છે.
કર્મનો સિદ્ધાંત માત્ર કાર્ય-કારણ પૂરતો હોય તો સમજી શકાય પણ એમાં પૂર્વજન્મ, પુનર્જન્મ, પાપ-પુણ્ય ક્યાંથી આવ્યાં? કોઈ શ્રીમંત હોય તો પૂર્વજન્મનાં પુણ્યનો પ્રતાપ અને કોઈ ગરીબ હોય તો પૂર્વજન્મનાં પાપનું પરિણામ. આ સિવાય બીજાં કોઈ કારણો હોઈ જ ન શકે?

અષાઢ માસના શુકલપક્ષની છટ્ઠી રાત્રીએ નંદનનો જીવ દેવલોકમાંથી ચ્યવી દેવાનંદા બ્રાહ્મણીની કુખમાં પુત્ર તરીકે પ્રતીષ્ઠ થયો. તે વખતે ઉત્તરાફાલ્ગુની નક્ષત્ર પ્રવર્તતું હતું.
પરંતુ ત્યાર પછી ૮૨ દીવસ વીત્યા બાદ એક વીચીત્ર પ્રસંગ બની ગયો. દેવાનંદ બ્રાહ્મણીનો ગર્ભ પુત્ર જ્ઞાતૃવંશી સીદ્ધાર્થ ક્ષત્રીયની ક્ષત્રીયાણી ત્રીસલાના ગર્ભપુત્રરુપે જન્મેલો જાહેર થયો. તીર્થંકર કદી તુચ્છ કુળ, દરીદ્ર કુળ, કૃપણ કુળ કે ભીક્ષુક કુળને વીષે ઉત્પન્ન થયા નથી, થતા નથી કે થશે નહીં.
પુસ્તકમાં નીચે પ્રમાણે પાદ ટીપ્પણ છે.
કથાકારનો આ કુલમદ વાર્તાના પ્રવાહમાં ખટકે છે. કુલમદને કારણે મરીચીને તીર્થંકરના જન્મ વખતે બ્રાહ્મણ કુળમાં જનમવું પડયું. ઉપદેશ વખતે મહાવીર પોતે કુળમદ ન કરવાનું જણાવે છે તથા બ્રાહ્મણ વગેરે લોકો ઉચ્ચ જાતીને કારણે અભીમાન કરે છે તે ખોટું છે.
કથાકાર બ્રાહ્મણ કુળને હલકું ઠરાવી ક્ષત્રીય કુળને ઉંચુ ઠરાવવાનો પ્રયત્ન કરીને આખા મહાવીર સીદ્ધાંતને ખોટો પાડવા જેવું કરે છે.
કથાકાર દેવાનંદાની થયેલી દયાપાત્ર સ્થીતી અને ત્રીશલાની હર્ષીત સ્થીતીનું વર્ણન બુડેલી કલમે કરે છે.

શ્રી વી. કે. વોરાસાહેબની વાત સાચી છે. શોષણખોર પુરુષપ્રધાન વર્ણવ્યવસ્થાને ટકાવી રાખવા માટે કર્મનો સિદ્ધાંત જરૂરી હતો. પુનર્જન્મ, પાપ-પુણ્ય વગેરે એના જ ઉપસિદ્ધાંત છે.
ફિલોસોફી સમાજમાં પ્રવર્તતી વાસ્તવિક સ્થિતિઓના પ્રતિઘોષ તરીકે જન્મે છે. એ કાં તો સમાજની વ્યવસ્થાને ટકાવી રાખવા માટે કામ આવે છે અથવા એમાંથી પલાયન કરવા મા્ટે.
આપણો સમાજ એટલો બધો કબીલાઈ છે કે વ્યક્તિનું કઈં સ્થાન જ નથી. એમાંથી બચવા આપણું તત્વદર્શન વ્યક્તિગત રસ્તા દેખાડે છે. મોક્ષના માર્ગે એકલા જવાનું છે. “હું કોણ, તું કોણ, કોણ માતા, કોણ પિતા…” આમ સમાજમાં આપણે કહી શકીશું? ના. પણ એ જ પલાયનવાદ મોક્ષ છે. સંસાર છોડીને વનમાં ચાલ્યા જાઓ. આ સંસાર અસાર છે.
પણ જીવતા હોઇએ ત્યાં સુધી તો આ અસાર સંસારમાં જ જીવવાનું છે તો એને સારપૂર્ણ કેમ ન બનાવીએ? સંસાર, સમાજવ્યવ્સ્થા કેમ બદલવી? કોઈ જવાબ નહીં મળે. કહેશે, વ્યક્તિ બદલે તો સમાજ બદલે. સુફિયાણી વાતો. જેને આ વ્યવસ્થામાં લાભ છે એ શા માટે બદલે?

મિત્રો અને ગુણીજનો,
સાદી ભાષામાં કહુ તો જે લોકો આત્મા-પરમાત્મા અને ધર્મમાં નથી માનતા તેઓ સર્વ જીવન કારના મિકેનિક અને સહાયક જેવુ જીવન જીવે છે કેમ કે તેઓ કાર કેવી રીતે બનાવવી એની અવનવી યોજનાઓમાં ડુબેલા જ રહેતા હોય છે, કેટલી સ્પીડ રાખવી, કેવો કલર રાખવો, કેવો આકાર આપવો, વગેરે વગેરે ગુણોની ચર્ચા અને યોજનાઓ ઉપર કાર્ય કરીને કમર બેવડ વાળી નાંખતા હોય છે.
જ્યારે જે લોકો આત્મા-પરમાત્મા અને ધર્મને અનુસરે છે તેઓ માટે એ કાર એ મેકેનિક અને સહાયકો દ્વાર બનીને તૈયાર આશિર્વાદ રુપ ઠરે છે કેમ કે તેઓને એ કાર કેવી રીતે બને, એમા શું શું લાગ્યુ, એ બધી માથાઝીંક માં નથી પડતા. તેઓ તો ફક્ત કાર લઈને ચલાવીને આનંદથી પ્રભુના ગુણો ગાતા ગાતા પોતાની મંજીલે પહોંચી જાય છે હો…!!
આ બન્નેની સ્થિતિમાં કોની સ્થિતી વખાણવા લાયક ગણવી????

મીત્રો, મને રાતના કે દીવસના સ્વપનામાં ગણપતી દેખાય તો એને સુંઢ જરુર હોય. કારણ કે મારો જે સમાજમાં ઉછેર થયો છે એમાં ગણપતીની કલ્પના બધાને ખબર છે. પણ આફ્રીકાના બાળકને સ્વપના કે જાગૃત અવસ્થામાં ગણપતી ન દેખાય. આવું જ કંઈક આ આત્મા, પરમાત્મા અને કર્મમાં છે. કલ્પના કરી અને બીજાને એવી કલ્પના કરવા મજબુર કર્યા. ભારતમાં સમાજ જે રીતે જાતીઓમાં છીન્ન ભીન્ન થયેલ છે એમાં આ આત્મા અને કર્મે ખુબ ભાગ ભજવેલ છે.
ભારતમાં ભૃષ્ટાચાર ફેલાયેલ છે એનો મતલબ કલ્યાણની ભાવનાનો અભાવ છે. કોઈ પણ રીતે પોતાનો સ્વાર્થ સીદ્ધ કરી લેવો એટલે ભૃષ્ટાચાર રોજ ફુલે ફાલે છે. એનું કારણ આ કર્મનો પ્રભાવ છે.
છેલ્લા ૧૦૦૦ વર્ષમાં દુનીયાના લોકોના કલ્યાણમાં ભારતના લોકોનો અભાવ ખબર પડી જાય છે.
શીતળાની રસીથી દુનીયામાં શીતળાનો રોગ નાબુદ થઈ ગયો, એનો મતલબ આપણે ગૌપાલક હતા જ નહીં. જ્યારે એડવર્ડ જેનરે ૨૦૦ વર્ષ પહેલાં જાણી લીધું કે શીતળા જેને થયો હોય એ વાછરડાના સમ્પર્કમાં આવનારને શીતળાનો રોગ થતો નથી. આવી સાદી સમજના અભાવે દુનીયામાં અફઘાનીસ્તાન, પાકીસ્તાન અને બંગલા દેશમાં શીતળા નાબુદ થયો એના પછી ભારતમાં નાબુદ થયો.
આ છે આત્મા અને કર્મનો પ્રભાવ.

જયેન્દ્રભાઈએ ડી એન એ આત્મા નથી તે તો જાણે લગભગ સાબિત કરી દીધું,તો પછી આત્મા છે શું?હવે ગીતા વિષે–ગીતા વેદવ્યાસે રચેલું પુસ્તક છે,કૃષ્ણના મુખે મૂકી એક સ્ટેમ્પ મારી દીધો.બધા અંધ બની માંની લો.ગીતામાં ઘણી બધી સારી વાતો છે.પણ સંપૂર્ણ અંધ બની માનવા લાયક નથી.જે વિદેશી મહાનુભાવોએ એના વખાણ કર્યા તેમની પણ મર્યાદાઓ છે,તે બધા કોઈ સંપૂર્ણ મહાન આત્માઓ નહોતા.આઈનસ્ટૈન ગ્રેટ હતા,વિથ રીસ્પેક્ટ,સારા પિતા કે પતિ નહોતા.હાલના ભારતીય ધારાધોરણ મુજબ નાલાયક કહી શકો.એક તો બે બાળકો હતા તે પત્નીને ત્યજી દીધી અને પછી પિતરાઈ બહેન જોડે લગ્ન કર્યા.ક્યારેય પોતાના બાળકોને મળ્યા નહીં કે ખબર રાખી નહીં.છતાં મને પોતાને એમના માટે ખુબ માન છે,આપણે એક એમના જેવો વૈજ્ઞાનિક પેદા કરી શક્યા નથી.હું જસ્ટ દાખલા આપું છું.ગાંધીજી મહાન,એમને કોઈ ગાળ દે તો મારું લોહી ઉકળી ઉઠે પણ વિથ રીસ્પેક્ટ લખું કે એમના બ્રહ્મચર્ય વિશેના ખયાલો સાવ અભણ અને ગામડિયા જેવા હતા.આવું તો બધા મહાનુભાવોનું છે.વિદેશી મહાનુભાવો મારા નહીં પણ ભારતીય ખયાલો મુજબ લંપટ અને ચરિત્રહીન ગણાય.હવે એમના ગીતા વિશેના અવતરણો મૂકી દઈને ગીતાને મહાન બનાવવી પડે?ગીતામાં જે સારી વાતો છે તેને કોઈના સ્ટેમ્પની જરૂર નથી.અને જે વાતોએ ભારતને નુકશાન પહોચાડ્યું છે તે સારી સાબિત થઇ જવાની નથી.એક તો વિચારવા ઉપર ગીતા દ્વારા પ્રતિબંધ વેદવ્યાસે મૂકી દીધો.શંકા કરવી નહીં,એમાં ના વિજ્ઞાન વિકસ્યું.ચાર વર્ણો મારી સૃષ્ટી કહી આખા દેશને વેરવિખેર કરી નાખ્યો.આવું તો ઘણું બધું છે.ગીતા જેવું મહાન પુસ્તક આપણી પાસે,સંતો,ભક્તોની ભરમાર અને દેશ પાયમાલ કેમ?આપણાં દેશના બુદ્ધિજીવી પણ ઘણીવાર વિચારતા હોતા નથી અને અનેક બાબતો વિચાર્યા વગર માંની લેતા હોય છે.

આ ડીએનએ ગીતાના છોતરા ઉતારી નાખેલ છે. ગીતાના કારણે વર્ણ વ્યવસ્થાને ટેકો મળ્યો અને બધા પોતાને ઉચ્ચ વર્ણનું સમજવા લાગ્યા અને એ માટે ગતકડાં કાઢવા લાગ્યા. આ ડીએનએ થી આજે બધાને ખબર પડી ગઈ છે દુનીયા આખી વર્ણશંકર છે અને કોઈ ઉચ્ચ કે નીચ વર્ણનું નથી. બ્રાહ્મણો, ક્ષત્રીયો, દલીતો, હીટલર કે યહુદી બધા વર્ણશંકરમાં આવી જાય છે. આ આત્મા અને કર્મનું તુત એ ગીતા અને એના અગાઉના ઉપનીષદો કે અપનીષદોની વર્ણશંકર પેદાશ છે.

કોઈ પ્રજા શુદ્ધ પ્રજા નથી.માટે બધી પ્રજા શુદ્ધ જ છે.આખી દુનિયાનો બાપ આફ્રિકન શાન બુશમેન છે.વાય હોય કે માઈટોકોન્દ્રિયા બધાનું મૂળ આફ્રિકામાં છે.આર્યોના બાપ પણ આફ્રિકન જ હતા.બધા વર્ણશંકર જ કહેવાય.

Can I say that all of what we think of “Varna Vyavastha” is wrong?
What if I say “Varna Vyavastha” is the ability of an individual to do certain thing? for e.g. some people do labour work, others are warriors/rulers, some are knowledge seekers & givers, some are traders
And hence the “Varnas”. i.e. divide the work as per your ability.

જગતના દરેકે દરેક કુળ અને ગોત્ર માં ચાર પ્રકારના મનુશ્યો મળી જ આવશે, એટલે કે કોઈ પણ ખાનદાનમાં ચાર બાળકો હશે તો એ ચારનો સ્વભાવ અલગ અલગ હશે જ હશે, ચાર શું કામ, ૧૦ હશે તો પણ તેઓ એ દસે દસ બ્રાહ્મણ, અથવા તો દસે દસ ક્ષત્રિય, અથવા તો દસે દસ વૈશ્ય કે દસે દસ શુદ્ર નહિ હોય પણ એ દસમાં કોઈ બે ચાર બ્રાહ્યણગુણી, કોઈ બે ચાર ક્ષત્રિયગુણી, કોઈ બે ચાર વૈશ્યગુણી અને કોઈ બે ચાર ક્ષુદ્રગુણી હોવાનુ જ જે સર્વવિદીત છે. અને જે નબળો હશે એની નબળાઈને સબળાઈમાં બદલાવી દેવાય છે, તો પછી એક આખી જાતીને જ ક્ષુદ્ર નો ખિતાબ શુ કામ અપાયો? અને એ પણ ગીતા અને અન્ય ગ્રંથોનો સહારો લઈને ભારતદેશમાં જાતિયવ્યવસ્થાના અત્યાચારી ગોટાળાઓ જાણી જોઈને માથે મારી દેવાયા છે એ સરાસર અન્યાય છે અને એ દુર થવો જ જોઈએ તો જ ભારતસેવા કરી કહેવાય.
પંજાબમાં એવુ હતુ કે દરેકે દરેક ઘરમાંથી એક સંતાન શીખ બની જતો અને સરહદની રક્ષા કરવા જતો અને એવી રીતે શિખોની આખી જાતી અલગ રુપે આજે હયાત છે. એ પગથિયે ચાલીએ તો જે ઘરમાં થી જે ક્ષુદ્રસ્વભાવી હોય તો એને ક્ષુદ્રજાતિનો ગણવો જોઈએ, જે બ્રાહ્મણ સ્વભાવી હોય તો એને બ્રાહ્મણ અને વૈશ્યને વૈશ્ય અને ક્ષત્રિય ને ક્ષત્રિય ગણવા જોઈએ તો સ્વચ્છ અને ચોક્ક્સ જાતિ દેખાઈ આવે એવિ જ્ઞાન ક્રુષ્ણ કે રામને પણ ન સુઝ્યુ એથી આજના ચોરોની પ્રજામાંથી કોઈપણ એવુ જાણી જોઈને નથી કરતુ.
આ કુવ્યવસ્થા મનુષ્યોએ જ ઘડેલી છે, ભારતના પતનનુ અને ગુલામીનુ કારણ એ આ કુવ્યવસ્થા જ હતી (સોમનાથ લુંટાઈ રહ્યુ હતુ અને મંદિરમાં લાડુ ખવાતા હતા) એ ધર્મવ્યવસ્થા નો શાપ હતો. એટલે સર્વજાતીઓએ ક્ષુદ્રોનુ નહિ પણ એ કુવ્યવસ્થાનો વિરોધ અને દમન કરવા આગળ આવવુ જ જોઈએ, તો જ ભારતદેશની ખરી સેવા કરી ગણાશે. ક્ષુદ્રોને ખરા દિલથી અપનાવવામાં આવે તો ક્ષુદ્રતા ખરેખર નષ્ટ થઈ શકે છે, અને હજુ પણ દેશમાં અને ખાસ કરીને ગુજરાતમાં ક્ષુદ્રો પ્રત્યે માયાળુ વર્તન નથી અપનાવાયુ. સ્કુલોમાં કોલેજોમાં ક્ષુદ્રવિધ્યાર્થીને મહત્વ નથી અપાતુ અને એને પ્રગતિનો ખરો રસ્તો દેખાડવામાં આવતો જ નથી. સરકારી શાળાઓને જોઈ લેવા વિનંતિ છે. નોકરીઓમાં રીઝર્વેશન આપેલુ છે પણ એ રીઝર્વેશન તો ઉલ્ટુ દુશ્મની ને નોતરે છે. ધંધામાં તો ક્ષુદ્રો નુ સ્થાન જ નથી. સત્તામાં કોઈ ગણતરી નથી. સૌથી દયાપાત્ર જીવન જીવતા હોય તો આ ક્ષુદ્રો જ છે. એમની ક્ષુદ્રતાને રોકવાને બદલે એમની ક્ષુદ્રતા થી ઉચ્ચજાતિય ઘ્રુણા કરતા હોય છે અને કહેતા હોય છે. ક્ષુદ્રોને વૈચારીક સમ્રુધ્ધતાથી વિચારવાનો કોઈ મોકો જ નથી અપાતો અને એ તો “ક્ષુદ્રનો ક્ષુદ્ર રહેવાનો” નો રાગ આલાપાય છે એ ખરેખર દયનિય છે. એટલે ક્ષુદ્રોને આગળ વધવાનો અને ભારતના ઘડતરમા હાથ મેળાવવાનો કોઈ રસ્તો જડ્યો જડતો નથી અને જડતો હોય તો એ કાપી નંખાવો ન જોઈએ તો એ ઉદારતા આવતા ૧૦૦ વરસ માં સુંદર ફળ લાવશે.
બ્લોગ જગતમાં પણ સારા અને શુધ્ધ કહેવાય એવા આંગળીના વેઢે ગણી શકાય એટલા જ બ્લોગ છે પણ જે ને આપણા જીવન અને ઉધ્ધારનો સ્નાનસુતકનો પણ સંબંધ ન હોય એવા વાહિયાત ગલગલિયા કરાવતા બ્લોગ ગુજરાતી બ્લોગ જગતમાં ભરમાર જોવા મળે છે. એથી શું વળવાનુ?
જો કે ભણતર માટે ક્ષુદ્રો ને મોકો આપીને અતિ રુડુ કાર્ય થયુ છે પણ હજુ ક્ષુદ્રોને જે સન્માન, સંપત્તિ, જમીન, ઉધોગમાં સ્થાન, સત્તામાં સ્થાન આપ્યુ તો હતુ પણ એ દેખાવપુરતુ જ હોય છે, અદરખાનેથી ત્રણ વર્ણો એને મજબુત કરવાને બદલે એને નીચો પડાય છે એ ઘણી વખત અતિક્ષુદ્રોમાં નિરાશા લઈ આવે છે. જો કે અતિક્ષુદ્ર વર્ગને એ નિરાશા અનુભવાતી જ નથી એટલુ નિષ્ઠુર થઈ ગયુ છે અતિક્ષુદ્રોનુ મન અને એ નિરાશા અથવા નિષ્ઠુરતા હટાવાવા માટે કહેવાતા ઉચ્ચ વર્ગમાં ખુલ્લા હ્રદયની મધર ટેરેસા જેવી ઉદારતા આવવી એ દિવાસ્વપ્ન જેવુ લાગે છે. કોને ખબર આજના જગતમાં બધુ જ શક્ય છે કુલિન વર્ગનો કોઈ મહાન આત્મા આ ઉચ્ચ કાર્ય કરી શકે એવી હુ પ્રભુ યીશુને પ્રાર્થના કરુ છુ.

ગીતા કહે છે: सर्व धर्मान् परित्यज्य मामेऽकं शरणं व्रज…अहं त्वा सर्व पापेभ्यो मोक्षयिष्यामि…मा शुच (બધા ધર્મો – એટલે કે કર્તવ્યો – નો ત્યાગ કરીને તું મારે શરણે આવ. હું તને બધાં પાપોમાથી મુક્ત કરાવીશ. વિચાર ન કર).
આ ’मा शुच’ના ગ્રહણમાંથી આપણે છૂટ્યા નથી.

This is a platform for rational thoughts. These Articles are written by rationalist. Most rationalists who are now in their golden years have grown up in the traditionally religious family. Most of us have changed our views after reading lot of so called sacred books and thinking about them, while most of our family still maintains their age-old views.
We are also a very small minority in this highly religious society. Socially we pay the price for our beliefs. With all these sacrifices and social disadvantages, we still maintain our views. That tells a lot about our convictions.
I, for myself am not here to change any hardcore religious people. My writing is not targeted to any one individual. Everyone is entitled to his/her views, whatever it is. That is only fair.
I have been writing for the fence sitters who do not accept the age-old explanation about the mystic world around us. I give them alternate views. I have been writing in social as well as rationalist magazines. There are quite a few people who agree with me and like to read my articles on different subjects. There are also many who disagree but still keep reading me for whatever reason.
I appreciate anything that points to my errors, fills in the gaps, provides missing link or a constructive criticism. For this I thank them in perticular and all readers in general.
However, Some of the responses here went off the track. I fail to see the point in keep stressing about the ‘sacred’ books having all the answers. If so, why there is so much disagreement among them on certain topics? They all cannot be right when there is a difference in their views. If some are wrong, all could be wrong.
People like Copernicus, Galileo and Darwin have proven this even though all the religious books were in agreement. What every religious book said about the size and place of planet earth was proven wrong. This is now accepted by everyone. Most learned people also accept Darwin’s theory on the origin of species, even though it is still being questioned by some. You will get to read more on these topics here in future.
One of my questions still remains un-answered. When does the outside ‘Atma’ enter our body to make us alive? Until this question gets answered logically, other related arguments have to wait. If there is no good explanation, then everyone needs to re-examine his or her belief on this issue.

If you don’t have answer, don’t worry.
Some people accept the religious books as the answer, till they will find the correct one (and that is only if they want to accept).
I don’t know much about you. However, I see rationalist/atheist wanting to prove people wrong, who are on a different path.
Why in the world, we cannot accept the people, the way they are? And, if rationalist/atheist person thinks that they are better off than religious people, let the other person learn things on their own and their own analysis, than force feeding.
You cannot make other person learn, without his/her wish to do so.

ગડા સાહેબ, મારુ સાહેબ અને અન્ય પ્રિય ગુણી જનો આપ સહુનો ખુબ ખુબ આભાર, આપણે અહિયા સુધી પહોચ્યા બદલ, હુ એક પગલુ થોડુ આગલ ચાલવાની ગુસ્તાખી કરુ છુ બદલ ક્ષમા અને આપ સહુનો પ્યાર ચાહુ છુ….
જેવી રીતે ખુશી ચહેરા પર તો જણાઈ આવે છે પણ એની માત્રા માપી શકાતી નથી, દુઃખ દર્દ તો ચહેરા પરથી જ્ણાઈ આવે છે પણ એની માત્રા માપી શકાતે નથી, ગુસ્સો હાવભાવ પરથી જાણી શકાય છે પણ એની માત્રા માપી શકાતી નથી એવી રીતે આત્મા કોઈ શરીરમા પેઠો કે નિકળ્યો એ વૈજ્ઞાનિક યંત્રો થી માપી શકાતુ નથી એ તો જે તે વ્યક્તિના હાવભાવ અને વિચાર પરથી જ માપી શકાય છે.
એટલે વિજ્ઞાનનો ઉપયોગ કરીને હિટલરે પ્રથમ અને દ્વિત્તિય વિશ્વયુધ્ધ નોતર્યુ અને એ જ વિજ્ઞાનનો ઉપઓગ કરીને અમેરીકાએ જાપાન ને ઠઠાર્યુ, ધારો કે વિજ્ઞાન પોતાને હદ પાર ન કરી ગયુ હોત તો સુ થાત?
એટલે વિજ્ઞાન, હવા પાણી ખોરાક જેટલુ જ મહત્વનુ છે પણ એ સર્વ ઉપર પરમેશ્વરની સત્તા સર્વોપરી છે. અને પરમેશ્વરીય સત્તાનો દુરૂપયોગ, કુઉપયોગ પણ વિનાશ નોતરે છે, (સોક્રેટસનુ મ્રુત્યુ) એટલે વિજ્ઞાન અને પરમેશ્વર નો ડર બન્ને વિવેકમય રીતે સાથે ચાલે તો જ વ્યક્તિ, સમાજ, દેશ અને દુનિયાનો ઉધ્ધાર છે નહિ તો ચોથુ વિશ્વયુધ્ધ ખરેખ્ખર પથ્થર જ લડાશે….

માનવજીવન માટે જ્ઞાન અને શ્રદ્ધા બન્ને જરૂરી છે – પણ વિવેક ખોયા વિના.
અહીંની ચર્ચામાં બન્ને બાજુના અતિરેક જણાયા છે.

હા, વડિલશ્રી આપની વાત બિલ્કુલ સાચી છે, અને એ જ આપણા સહુની નબળાઈ છે.
આપશ્રી ને નમ્ર વિનંતિ છે કે આપની નવી ઈનિંગની શરુઆત વધુ ફોડ પાડવાથી કરવાનો મોકો જતો ન કરવો જોઈ, જેથી કરીને અહિઆ દરેક ગુણીજનો હજુ આગળ વધી શકે કેમ કે માર્ગદર્શન (ગડા સાહેબે અને અન્યોએ) રોકાવુ ન જોઈએ નહિ તો ભવિષ્યમાં ફરીથી બીજા કોઈને એકડે એકથી ઘુંટવુ પડશે, મારુ અનુમાન છે…..

Please read /understand what is written in Vedas about “Bhrama” it is also called “Atma”
Subject: Brief Description of the Supreme Reality in Vedas.
A number of hymns in the Vedas describe God in details. A few hymns can be mentioned for proper understanding of Nirguna Brahma who is the Universal God. Rig Veda 6-15-13 and 14 mentions that He is a pure illuminator, unifier and remover of all miseries, commands all to observe non-violence and other rules of righteousness, which are a-priori principles beyond any sense experience.
Rig-Veda 6-47-18 says that for each form, He is the Model. It is His Forms that are to be seen everywhere, in spiritual and material things. He exists in all animate and inanimate life/things but He is manifest in the human beings where He dwells in their hearts (Sama Veda 860). A similar description that He dwells in the human hearts is also there in Bhagavad-Gita, Srimad Bahgavatam and many other scriptures.
Rig Veda 1-9-5, 6 mentions, “He is the Lord of knowledge, infinite wisdom and material wealth”. He pervades the matter and the whole space (A.V.19-20-2). All the four Vedas describe that Thee and Thy laws (Rta) are the same. Those who follow His laws and commandments can realize Him in one birth. He is unborn (ajo) and incarnation of God as a human being is not visualized (Y.V.34-53, 40-8 and A.V. 10-23-4). He lives within you and you live within Him as one of His tiny living cells. .
The Vedic metaphysics contained in Upanishads tell us that He has no demand for material offerings, donations, blind, proxy and ostentatious worship but wants all the human beings to follow His laws (Rta) of social, moral and physical order and assist him in the maintenance of His Grand wondrous Design. Vedas tell us that all evils, corruption, bribery, naked selfishness and material desires are more rampant with people who do not follow His laws (Rta). Majority of such persons even create pollution of all kinds, environmental hazards, social and economic tensions in society and thus knowingly or unwittingly go against His laws and tend to create social, moral and physical disorder.
Vedas advise open discussions on religion, ethics, morality, divinity, soul, spirit and Prakrti in an assembly where all individuals are advised to participate. This august body in the Vedas is described as Vidhta. Being ineffable, He does not want the human beings to praise Him all the time about His attributes. As Sankracharya said, “even the words recoil to describe Him”. Categories, quantity, quality, colour and words cannot explain Him. Thus Vedas give great importance that we should know and understand Brahman.
He is an impersonal God, impartial and Unmoved Mover but moves the universe in a wondrous design. There are a number of hymns relating to Rta-laws of God, which Brahman observes and follows Himself sternly. He never breaks them and this result in equilibrium in the entire universe. There is a mention that even animals, birds, plants as well as all inanimate things follow these laws. The more you understand and love Him, the more you go away from ostentatious, blind and proxy worship of gods. The inert matter starts disappearing and you start realizing that all human beings are spiritual brothers and sisters. Vedic God has only blessings and mercy for all His creation and no curse for His creatures.
If an individual is leading a miserable life of stress, it is his/her own creation as the individuals are their own greatest friends and their own enemies.
Such One can take liberty to call himself “Rational”
I don’t agree to Rajesh Pandya’s understanding about Ishu.. Ishu may be saint but ‘Chetna’ in him, not different/above yours or mine or any other living being..

With due regards, I agree with your sayings above.
Only one thing I want to highlight is, difference between “Brahmm” and “Brahma.”
My Dear Sir, Both are different entities. One is Almighty Father Power and other is HIS messeger, i.e. one of three so called Mahadevtas, known as Brahma, Vishnu ane Mahesh whom I had worshiped for 42 years under darkaness. Ironically, these three Mahadevta has been described in “Purans” who always shown busy in worshiping this “Almighty Father GOd” whom I personally know is “Brahmm” whom you mistakenly have described here as “Brahma.”
“Braahmans” are the descendents of “Brahma” who are mostly famous as priest and worshipers of creations of “Brahmm” which wrongly taken as creation of “Brahma” or other two Mahadevtas or other “Pouranik” devi-devtas under darkness.
I use word “Darkness” because these so called devi-devtas has no descriptions at all in Vedas. Vedas most loudly speaks about “Brahmm-Almighty Creator-Provider- Destroyer God” and worhispers of THIS “Brahmm” are known as “Brahmn” “” not “Brahman.”
Now about “Saint Ishu.” All you and Geeta or Vedas want to highlight and said, has already been done and achieved by Saint Ishu only in this living world, Whom I love as “Lord Jesus Christ.”
Word “Christ” itself is the description of “Saviour or Masaiah .” One who follows teachings of “Jesus Christ” he himself becomes “Christians” and becoms a lively letter to world written by Lord Jesus Christ himself on ones Soul or Atma (like me).
We all are childrens of Almighty “Brahmm” the GOD but not of “Brahmma” and require to exhibit characters of “Brahmm.” But, shockingly my own blood brothers, and 90% of my country brothers are carrying and exhibiting characters of “Non-Brahmm” or more specifically ‘satanic’ under influence of different knowledge. Is’nt it our combine duty to bring them to light and draw them on the right path so that India become a Heavenly place where people can peacefully live?

आत्मा के संबंध में आने वाले दिन बहुत खतरनाक और अंधकारपूर्ण होने वाले है। क्योंकि विज्ञान की प्रत्येक घोषणा आदमी को यह विश्वास दिला देगी कि आत्मा नहीं है। इससे आत्मा असिद्ध नहीं होगी। इससे सिर्फ आदमी के भीतर जाने का जो संकल्प था, वह क्षीण होगा। अगर आदमी को यह समझ में आने लगे कि ठीक है, उम्र बढ़ गई, बच्चे टेस्ट टयूब में पैदा होने लगे है। अब कहां है आत्मा? इससे आत्मा असिद्ध नहीं होगी, इससे सिर्फ आदमी का जो प्रयास चलता था अंतस की खोज का, बंद हो जाएगा। और यह बहुत दुर्भाग्य की घटना घटने वाली है। जो आने वाले पचास वर्षों में घटेगी। इधर पिछले पचास वर्षों में उसकी भूमिका तैयार हो रही है।
दुनिया में आज तक पृथ्वी पर दीन लोग रहे है। दरिद्र लोग रहे है। दुःखी लोग रहे है। बीमार लोग रहें है। उनकी उम्र कम थी। उनके पास भोजन अच्छा नहीं था। कपड़े अच्छे नहीं थे। सुख सुविधा कम थी। लेकिन आत्मा की दृष्टि से दरिद्र लोगों की संख्या जितनी आज है, उतनी कभी नहीं थी। और उसका कुल एक ही कारण है कि भीतर कुछ है ही नही, तो भीतर जाने का सवाल क्या हे। एक बार अगर मनुष्य-जाति को यह विश्वास आ गया कि भीतर कुछ है ही नहीं, तो वहाँ जाने का सवाल खत्म हो जाता है।
आने वाला भविष्य अत्यंत अंधकार पूर्ण और खतरनाक हो सकता है। इसलिए हर कोने से इस संबंध में प्रयोग चलते रहने चाहिए कि ऐसे कुछ लोग खड़े होकर घोषणा कर सकें जीवंत—कि मैं जानता हूं कि मैं शरीर नहीं हूं। और न केवल यह घोषणा शब्दों की हो, यह उनके सारे जीवन से प्रकट होती रहे। तो शायद हम मनुष्य को बचाने में सफल हो सकते है। अन्यथा विज्ञान की सारी की सारी विकसित अवस्था मनुष्य को भी एक यंत्र में परिणत कर देगी। और जिस दिन की सारी की सारी विकसित अवस्था मनुष्य को भी एक यंत्र में परिणत कर देगी। और जिस दिन की सारी विकसित अवस्था मनुष्य को भी एक यंत्र में परिणत कर देगी। और जिस दिन मनुष्य-जाति को यह ख्याल आ जाएगा। कि भीतर कुछ भी नहीं है। उस दिन से शायद भीतर के सारे द्वार बंद हो जायेंगे। और उसके बाद होगा, कहना कठिन है।
आज तक भी अधिक लोगों के भीतर के द्वार बंद रहे है। लेकिन कभी-कभी कोई
एक साहसी व्यक्ति भीतर की दीवालें तोड़ कर घुस जाता है। कभी कोई एक महावीर,कभी कोई एक बुद्ध, कभी कोई एक क्राइस्ट, कभी कोई एक लाओत्से तोड़ देता है। दीवाल और भीतर घुस जाता है। उसकी संभावना भी रोज-रोज कम होती है। हो सकता है, सौ दौ सौ वर्षों के बाद जैसा मैंने आपसे कहा कि मैं कहता हूं, जीवन है, मृत्यु नहीं है। सौ दो सो वर्षों बाद मनुष्य कहे कि मृत्यु है, जीवन नहीं है। इसकी तैयारी तो पूरी हो गई है। इसको कहने वाले लोग तो खड़े हो गये है। आखिर मार्क्स क्या कह रहा है। मार्क्स यह कह रहा है कि मैटर है, माइंड नहीं है। मार्क्स यह कह रहा पदार्थ है, परमात्मा नहीं है। और जो तुम्हें परमात्मा मालूम होता है वह भी बाई-प्रोडेक्ट है मैटर का। वह भी पदार्थ की ही उत्पती है, वह भी पदार्थ से ही पैदा हुआ है। मार्क्स यह कह रहा है कि जीवन नहीं है, मृत्यु है। क्योंकि अगर आत्मा नहीं है और पदार्थ से ही पैदा हुआ है तो जीवन नहीं है। मृत्यु ही है।
मार्क्स की इस बात का प्रभाव बढ़ता चला गया। यह शायद आपको पता नहीं होगा। दुनिया में ऐसे लोग रहे है हमेशा। जिन्होंने आत्मा को इन्कार किया है। लेकिन आत्मा को इनकार करने वालों का धर्म आज तक पैदा नहीं हुआ। मार्क्स ने पहली दफा आत्मा को इनकार करने वाले आदमी नहीं है। इससे पहले भी अनेक नास्तिक हुए है पर इनका कोई आर्गनाइजेशन बन नहीं पाया। चार्वाक थे, बृहस्पति थे, एपी कुरस था। दुनिया में अद्भुत लोग हुए हे। जिन्होंने ये कहा की नहीं है आत्मा। उनकी कोई चर्च, उनका कोई संगठन नहीं था। मार्क्स दुनिया में पहला नास्तिक है जिसके पास आर्गनाइजेशन, चर्च है। अरे आधी दुनिया उसके चर्च के भीतर खड़ी हो गई है। और आने वाले पचास वर्षों में बाकी आधी दुनिया भी खड़ी हो जायेगी।
आत्मा तो है, लेकिन उसको जानने और पहचानने के सारे द्वार बंद होते जा रहे है। जीवन तो है, लेकिन उस जीवन से संबंधित होने की सारी संभावनाएं क्षीण होती जा रही है। इसके पहले कि सारे द्वार बंद हो जाएं, जिनमें थोड़ी भी सामर्थ्य और साहस है, उन्हें अपने ऊपर प्रयोग करना चाहिए और चेष्टा करनी चाहिए भीतर जाने की। ताकि वे अनुभव कर सकें। और अगर दुनिया में सौ दो सौ लोग भी भीतर की ज्योति को अनुभव करते हों, तो कोई खतरा नहीं करोड़ों लोगों का अंधकार भी थोड़े से लोगों की ज्योति से दूर हो सकता है। और टूट सकता है। एक छोटा सा दीया थी मालूम कितने अंधकार को तोड़ देता है।
लेकिन हमारे मुल्क में तो कितने साधु हैं और कितने चिल्लाने और शोरगुल मचाने वाले लोग है कि आत्मा अमर है। और उनकी इतनी लंबी कतार, इतनी भीड़ और मुल्क का यह नैतिक चरित्र और मुल्क का यह पतन। यह सबीत करात है कि यह सब धोखेबाज धंधा है। यहां कहीं कोई आत्मा-वात्मा को जानने वाला नहीं है। यह इतनी भीड़, इतनी कतार, इतनी मिलिट्री, यह इतना बड़ा सर्कस साधुओं का सारें मुलक में—कोई मुंह पर पट्टी बांधे हुए एक तरह का सर्कस कर रहे है, कोई डंडा लिए दूसरे तरह का सर्कस कर रहे है, कोई तीसरे तरह का सर्कस कर रहे है—यह इतनी बड़ी भीड़ आत्मा को जानने वाले लोगों की हो और मुल्क का जीवन इतना नीचे गिरता चला जाए, यह असंभव है।
और मैं आपको कहना चाहता हूं कि जो लोग कहते है कि आम आदमी ने दुनिया का चरित्र बिगाड़ा है, वे गलत कहते है। आम आदमी हमेशा ऐसा रहा है। दुनिया का चरित्र ऊँचा था, कुछ थोड़े से लोगों के आत्म-अनुभव की वजह से। आम आदमी हमेशा ऐसा था। आम आदमी में कोई फर्क नहीं पड़ गया है। आम आदमी के बीच कुछ लोग थे जीवंत, जो समाज और उसकी चेतना को सदा ऊपर उठाते रहे, सदा ऊपर खींचते रहे। उनकी मौजूदगी, उनकी प्रजेंस, कैटेलेटिक एजेंट का काम करती रही है। और आदमी के जीवन को उपर खींचती रही हे। और अगर आज दुनियां में आदमी को चरित्र इतना नीचा है। तो जिम्मेदार हैं साधु, जिम्मेदार हैं महात्मा, जिम्मेवार है धर्म की बातें करने वाले झूठे लोग। आम आदमी जिम्मेवार नहीं है। उसकी कभी कोई रिस्पांसबिलिटी नहीं है। पहले भी नहीं थी, आज भी नहीं है।
दुनियां को बदलना हो, तो इस बकवास को छोड़ दें कि हम एक-एक आदमी का चरित्र सुधारेंगे, कि हम एक-एक आदमी को नैतिक शिक्षा का पाठ देंगे। अगर दुनिया को बदलना चाहते हैं, तो कुछ थोड़े से लोगों को अत्यंत इंटेंस इनर ऐक्सपैरिमैंट में से गुजरना पड़ेगा। जो लोग बहुत भीतरी प्रयोग से गुजरने को राज़ी है। ज्यादा नहीं,सिर्फ एक मुल्क में सौ लोग आत्मा को जानने की स्थिति में पहुंच जाएं तो पूरे मुल्क का जीवन अपने आप ऊपर उठ जायेगा। सौ दीये जीवित और सारा मुल्क ऊपर उठ सकता है।
तो मैं तो राज़ी हो गया थ इस बात पर बोलने के लिए सिर्फ इसलिए कि हो सकता है कि कोई हिम्मत का आदमी जा जाए। तो उसको मैं निमंत्रण दूँगा। के मेरी तैयारी है भी तरल चलने की, तुम्हारी तैयारी हो तो आ जाओ। तो वहां बताया जा सकता है कि जीवन क्या है, मृत्यु क्या है।

श्री शिवा जी की टिप्पणी कई मुद्दे उपस्थित कर रही है. उन्होंने हिन्दी में लिखा है तो मैं भी हिन्दी में प्रतिभाव देना उचित सम्झता हूँ. उनके अंतिम पैराग्राफ से लगता है कि यह उनके किसी प्रवचन का अंश है.

विज्ञान ने आत्मा के अस्तित्व का तो इन्कार किया ही है , लेकिन मस्तिष्क की प्रक्रियाओं का तो इन्कार नहीं किया. मनुष्य में सोच की शक्ति है. हम प्रत्येक घटनाओं पर प्रतिक्रियाएं भी देते रहते हैं. अपनी भूमिका के बारे में भी सोचते रहते हैं. इसी को ही तो भीतर जाने की प्रक्रिया कहते हैं, जिसके परिणाम स्वरूप किसी लक्ष्य को समर्पित भी होते हैं. शहीद भगत सिंह नास्तिक थे. परंतु उन्होंने अपने लक्ष्य का वरण कर लिया था और मौत से भी डरे नहीं. शहीद राम प्रसाद बिस्मिल आर्यसमाज की परंपरा में पले बढ़े थे और आत्मा में विश्वास करते थे. दोनों के आत्मा संबंधी दृष्टिकोण में इतना बडा अंतर होने के बावजूद लक्ष्य में कोई फर्क नहीं था और दोनों ने मौत को जीवन से अधिक प्यारा समझा. कहने का तात्पर्य यह है कि तत्कालीन परिस्थितियों में दोनों ने अपने भीतर झाँककर एक-सा ही मार्ग अपनाया. आत्मा की भूमिका भीतर जाने में कहीं दिखाई नहीं देती. अतः मुझे लगता है कि आत्मा की अवधारणा पर अगर कोई आक्र्मण है तो वह ‘भीतर जाने की’ हमारी क्षमता पर नहीं है. हम कह सकते हैं कि इससे आत्मा का कोई सरोकार नहीं है.
श्री शिवा जी कहते हैं “दुनिया में आज तक पृथ्वी पर दीन लोग रहे है। दरिद्र लोग रहे है। दुःखी लोग रहे है। बीमार लोग रहें है। उनकी उम्र कम थी। उनके पास भोजन अच्छा नहीं था। कपड़े अच्छे नहीं थे। सुख सुविधा कम थी। लेकिन आत्मा की दृष्टि से दरिद्र लोगों की संख्या जितनी आज है, उतनी कभी नहीं थी।” क्या उनके कहने का तात्पर्य यह है कि लोगों का दीन, दुःखी, दरिद्र, बीमार होना, सुख-सुविधा से वंचित होना इतनी बड़ी बात नहीं है, जितनी आत्मा की दृष्टि से दरिद्र होना? अब, इसका फैसला तो मैं नहीं कर सकता, क्योंकि मैं दीन, दुःखी, दरिद्र और बीमार नहीं हूँ. ऐसे लोगों की संख्या हमारे देश में ७७% है, उनसे पूछना चहिए कि उनको आज क्या अधिक आवश्यक जान पड़ता है, आत्मा संबंधी समृद्धि प्राप्त करने में दिन गुज़ारना या दो जुन की रोटी की तलाश में भटकना और बच्चों की दवाई के लिए अपना रोज़गार छोड़ कर सरकारी अस्पताल में लम्बी कतार में शामिल होना?
मार्क्स के बारे में श्री शिवा जी के अपने विचार व्यक्त किये हैं. मार्क्स ने अपने ईर्दगिर्द इन दीन. दुःखी, शोषण से पीड़ित लोगों को देखा और अपने ‘भीतर जा कर’ कुछ नतीजे निकाले. समाज के उस वर्ग को यह नतीजे रास नहीं आते जिसके पास सुख-सुविधा के सभी साधन है. औए अध्यात्म की राह पर जाने की फुर्सत है..
और रही बात supremacy of matter over mind की. यह कहने वाले कार्ल मार्क्स पहले नहीं थे.श्री शिवा जी स्वयं कह्ते हैं कि हमारे देश में ही चार्वाक पैदा हुए थे जो ऐसा ही मानते थे. अगर ऐसे लोगों ने अपना चर्च नहीं बनाया तो क्या बुरा है? आखिरकार अगर आत्मा है तो उसको मानने वालों को अपने संप्रदाय बनाने की आवश्यकता क्यों महसूस होती है?
पेट की आग की तरह अगर आत्मा भी स्वभावतः होती तो श्री शिवा जी को एक मुल्क में ऐसे सौ लोग ढूँढने नहीं पड़ते जो “आत्मा को जानने की स्थिति में पहुंच जाएं” रही बात पेट की आग वाले लोगों की. ऐसी तो तीन-चौथाई दुनिया है, एक ढूँढे हज़ार मिल जाएंगे, आवाज़ देने की ही देर है. सच पूछा जाए तो आवश्यकता उनको आवाज़ देने की नहीं, उनकी आवाज़ सुनने की है, जो उनके अंतरतम की गहराई से उठती है,

પ્રજ્ઞાચક્ષુઓ ભેગામળી પ્રકાશની ચર્ચા કરે અને દરેક પ્રજ્ઞાચક્ષુ દાવો કરે કે તે જ સાચો છે. તેવી આ ચર્ચા(વિવાદ) છે. શું આપણે જે જાણતા નથી તે સહજતાથી, પ્રમાણિકપણે આપણે સ્વિકારી ન શકીએ? શું આપણે અંધ છીએ એ ન સમજી શકતાં હોઈએ તો આપણી બિમાર આંખોનો ઈલાજ કેમ થશે, તેટલું પણ સમજવાને સમર્થ નથી? શું આપણી આવી વર્તણુક જ આપણી આંખોનો ઇલાજ અવરોધે છે તે આપણે સમજી નથી શકતા? આત્મા, પરમાત્મા,ચૈતન્ય, જીવ, ભૂત કે પ્રેત વિષેનુ આપણૂ અજ્ઞાન હોવાથી આપણે નીચા કે હલકા બની જવાના છીએ? મારી સમજ મુજબ આપણા અજ્ઞાનની ખબર પડવાની શરુઆત જ જ્ઞાન તરફનુ પ્રથમ પગથીયું છે. બાકી વાણી વિલાસ વૈમનસ્ય સિવાય કાંઈ બીજું પેદા ન કરી શકે.જરુર ચે ફક્ત આંખનો ઈલાજ કોઈ સારા ડોક્ટર પાસે કરાવવાની. સ્વયંની આંખ નિરોગી બનશે તો પ્રકાશ, કે આત્મા કે પરમાત્માની ઓળખ તુરંત થઈ જશે. પછી કોઈ શસ્ત્રો કે વૈજ્ઞાનિક પુરાવાઓની જરુર નહી રહે.

પ્રજ્ઞાચક્ષુઓ ચર્ચા કરે એમાં કઈં ખોટું નથી. નેત્રહીનોને કહી દઈએ કે તમે બોલી પણ ન શકો, એ તો બહુ મોટી સજા કહેવાય. મંથન થવું જોઈએ. તે વિના માખણ નહીં નીકળે.
બધા જ્ઞાની થઈ જશે તે પછી શબ્દો શમી જશે. મૌનમાં ઘેરાયેલી દુનિયા જીવવાલાયક હશે? કોને ખબર અજ્ઞાન શું છે -આત્મામાં માનવું તે, કે ન માનવું તે?

આપણે સુર્યમાં માનીએ છીએ? પ્રકાશમાં માનીએ છીએ? ચાંદ સિતારામાં માનીએ છીએ? નથી માનતા, કારણકે આપણે જાણીએ છીએ. આપણો રોજનો અનુભવ છે. સાચું પુછોતો માનવુ એજ રોગ છે. આત્મા કે પરમાત્માના પક્ષમા કે વિપક્ષમાં માનવું ભુલ ભરેલ છે. માનવું એ જ અંધત્વની નિશાની છે. જો આપણે જાણવાને સક્ષમ છીએ તો માનવાથી શા માટે રાજી થવું? જો મહાવીર, બુદ્ધ, કૃષ્ણ, કબીર, નાનક, કે ક્રાઈસ્ટ જાણી શકતા હોય તો દિપકભાઈ કે શરદભાઈ કેમ ન જાણી શકે? દિપકભાઈ અને શરદભાઈ પાસે પણ એ બધા અંગો છે જે આ લોકો પાસે હતા. દિપકભાઈ મારા ગુરુ સદા કહેતા, ” માનો મત જાનો” કદાચ તેમનુ કથન તમારી ભિતર પણ એક આંદોલન પેદા કરે તેવી શુભેચ્છા.

આ જગતમા જે કાંઈ થઈ રહ્યું છે તે યોગ્ય થઈ રહ્યું છે કશું જ ખોટું થઈ શકે તેમ નથી તો પ્રજ્ઞાચક્ષુઓની પ્રકાશ ચર્ચા ખોટી છે કે સાચી છે તેનો નિર્ણય કરનાર હું કોણ? મારો ઈશારો ફક્ત એ તરફ હતો કે કિચડના પાણીમા ગમે તેટલી વલોણી મારીએ પણ માખણ નીકળતું નથી. હા, કિચડ જરુર ઉછળે છે. છતાં જેને કિચડમાં કપડાં અને તન બગાડવામાં મજા આવતી હોય તો જરુર આનંદ લે.આટલું સમજવામાં ઝાઝી બુદ્ધીમત્તાની જરુર નથી હોતી ફક્ત થોડા વિવેકની જરુર હોય છે જે કિચડ અને છાશનો ભેદ પારખી શકે. શેષ શુભ

આત્મા વીશેની હાલની સાચી, ખોટી, પુર્ણ કે અધુરી જે પણ સમજ પ્રચલીત છે તે કુદરતી નહીં; પણ દરેકને મળેલો સાંસ્કૃતીક વારસો છે. જે કુદરતી હોય તે તો બધા માણસો માટે સરખું જ હોય છે. કુદરતે બધાને સરખાં અવયવો આપ્યાં છે. એનાં સ્વરુપ અને ઉપયોગની બધાની સમજ સરખી છે. આત્માની જેમ એમાં દેશ, ધર્મ, સંસ્કુતી પ્રમાણે મતભેદ નથી.
સમજ એટલે તો મન અને બુદ્ધિ વચ્ચેના સમાધાનથી સ્થાયિ થયેલો વિચાર. અને વિચાર શકિત વારસાગત નહી પણ કુદરતી જ હોય છે. શારીરિક અવયવોની વિચાર શકિત સાથે સરખામણી કરવી ઉચીત ન ગણાય એમ હું માનું છું. વળી કોઇ વિકલાંગ વ્યકિત હાથનો ઉપયોગ પગ તરીકે અથવા પગનો ઉપયોગ હાથ તરીકે કરી શકે છે.વળી સહુ પ્રથમ જે વ્યકિતને આત્મા વિશેનો ખ્યાલ અવ્યો હશે તેને કોણે વારસો આપ્યો હશે? અને જો તે વારસાગત હોય તો હજારો વર્ષથી કરોડો વ્યકિતમાં સ્થાયિ થયેલી આ સમજ બદલવી મનેતો અશકય લાગે છે.

Any thing which grows and multiply naturally, there is a life or soul in that thing..Per example, a sprout come out from a been or seed, there is life Life is a soul.Like in pendulam / winding clock, when it’s working it’s ticking but iwhen clock stops ,the pendulam stops.and you have to wind the clock again and if the spring broken , the clock is dead. one has to replace the spring like in human life or animals replace diaphram and the heart Every thing work with the atmospheric pressure or natural spring.. Brains works with electrons.
There is something to do with male spirms , female spirms only nurishe and grow the inplant male spirm but how male have a life in there.?. The smallest insects bacteria and spirm has life and soul.. It’s very hard to difference between life and soul.Very strange.
Evolution theory is just a logic. ,no one can prove it . Why not it’s not happening now ,Make monkey in to human. or any animal turn in to some thing else..Science try to do all experiments.. When scince or intelactuals don’t have answer or solutions, until every one are beleiving in GOD.

ગોવીન્દભાઈ મારુએ મુરબ્બી શ્રી મુરજીભાઈ ગડાની પોસ્ટ વૈજ્ઞાનીક દ્દષ્ટીએ આત્માનું સ્વરુપ માર્ચ ૪, ૨૦૧૧ના પોસ્ટ કરેલ છે.
અત્યાર સુધીમાં ૮૩ કોમેન્ટ થયેલ છે.
આ પોસ્ટ મુક્યા પછી ઘણાં મીત્રોએ પોતાના વીચારો રજુ કરેલ છે અને હજી વીચારો રજુ થાય એ જરુરી છે.
બાર ચૌદ અબજ વરસ અગાઉ બ્રહ્માંડની ઉત્ત્પતી થઈ અને નીહારીકાઓ, તારાઓ, ગ્રહો, ઉપગ્રહો ની રચના થઈ. આપણા સુર્ય દાદાના મંડળમાં પૃથ્વી ઉપર કોઈક કેમીકલ લોચો કે પ્રોસેસે થઈ જડમાંથી ચેતન ની ઉત્ત્પતી થઈ.
ડાર્વીન, ગેલેલીયો, એડવર્ડ જેનેરે જેવા ઋષી મુની, દેવ, ભગવાને મથામણ કરી આપણને કંઈક સમાજાવ્યું. બીચારા ગેલેલીયોને તો પોપની મંડળીએ જેલમાં નાખેલ. ગેલેલીયોએ આ પોપની મંડળી સામે કબુલાત કરેલ કે પૃથ્વી સ્થીર છે અને સુર્યની આસપાસ ફરતી નથી. પછી કંઈક બબળાટ કરેલ પણ ચારસો વરસ પછી પોપની મંડળીને ખબર પડી કે ગેલેલીયો તો સાચો હતો.
પોપની મંડળીએ તો ચારસો વરસમાં ભુલને સ્વીકારી લીધેલ પણ વેદ, ઉપનીષદ, રામાયણ અને મહાભારતમાં માનનારા એમ જલ્દી સ્વીકારે એમ લાગતું નથી. આ પોસ્ટ ઉપર ચર્ચા ચાલુ રહે એ જરુરી છે એમ સમજી આ કોમેન્ટ મુકેલ છે.
