પ્રકાશ એમ.એડ્.માં મારો વીદ્યાર્થી હતો. અત્યન્ત તેજસ્વી કારકીર્દી ધરાવનારા એ વીદ્યાર્થીનો ગયા સપ્તાહમાં ફોન આવ્યો. પ્રકાશ કહે છે; ‘સર, અમારા નગરમાં બાપુની કથાનું આયોજન ગોઠવાયું છે. શાળામાંથી આઠ દીવસની રજા મુકીને હું કથા સાંભળવા જવાનો છું !’ એમ.એસ.સી,; એમ.એડ્.ની ફર્સ્ટ ક્લાસ ડીસ્ટીન્ક્શન સાથેની ડીગ્રીઓ ધરાવતો પ્રકાશ, એક શાળાના ઉચ્ચતર માધ્યમીક વીભાગમાં ફીઝીક્સ ભણાવે છે. બીજા માણસો નીતી અને મુલ્યોની વાતો કરે છે, જ્યારે પ્રકાશ આદર્શઘેલો યુવાન છે. જીન્દગીમાં કદી ટ્યુશન ન કરવાની એણે પ્રતીજ્ઞા લીધી છે અને આશ્ચર્યજનક રીતે એ પ્રતીજ્ઞાનું ચુસ્ત રીતે પાલન કર્યું છે. પ્રકાશની વાત સાંભળ્યા પછી મેં મારી સ્ટાઈલ પ્રમાણે શાન્તીથી; છતાં મારી નારાજી ભેળવીને થોડાક પ્રશ્નો એના તરફ રવાના કર્યા : ‘શાળામાં રજા મુકીને, વીદ્યાર્થીઓનો અભ્યાસ રઝળતો છોડીને તું આખું અઠવાડીયું ‘બાપુ’ની કથા સાંભળશે ? આ હું શું સાંભળી રહ્યો છું ? આવો નીર્ણય લેતા તને શરમ ન આવી ?’ પ્રકાશે ફોન મુકી દીધો. બીજે દીવસે ફરીથી એનો ફોન આવ્યો, ‘સર, હું શાળાના દરવાજેથી આપને ફોન કરી રહ્યો છું. મેં મારી રજાઓ રદ કરાવી દીધી છે અને આજથી પુનઃ ફરજ પર હાજર થઈ જાઉં છું. મને સાચો માર્ગ બતાવવા માટે આપનો ખુબ ખુબ આભાર.’
સરકારી કર્મચારી, શાળાનો શીક્ષક કે કૉલેજનો પ્રૉફેસર પોતાની ફરજ છોડીને બાપુની કથામાં જઈને ગોઠવાઈ જાય એ તો સમાજનો દ્રોહ છે. સેંકડો કીલોમીટર દુરથી એક ગરીબ, રાંક માણસ સરકારી કામકાજ માટે ગાંધીનગર આવે છે. ઑફીસમાં જાય છે, તો આપત્તીજનક સમાચાર સાંભળવા મળે છે : ‘સાહેબ તો બાપુની કથા સાંભળવા લાંબી રજા પર છે. હવે તો જે થાય તે દસ દીવસ પછી !’ સાહેબની ઉંમર, પ્રીય વાચકો, આપ કેટલી ધારો છો ? ચાળીસ અને પચાસની વચ્ચે હશે. બાપુની કથા સાંભળવા તેઓ નીવૃત્તી સુધી થોભી શક્યા હોત. વળી, ખુરશી પર બેસીને હરામના રુપીયા નહીં પડાવતા, લાંચરુશ્વત નહીં ખાતા મુલ્યનીષ્ઠ માણસે ફરજ છોડીને કથા સાંભળવા જવાની જરુર શી છે ? લાંચીયો અધીકારી કથા સાંભળવા જાય તેનોયે કોઈ અર્થ નથી. દુર દુરથી ભણવા આવતા વીદ્યાર્થીને રખડતા મુકીને કથા સાંભળવાથી શીક્ષકને પ્રકાશ સાંપડે કે તીમીર ?
જે વ્યક્તી પોતે કોઈ એક સ્થાન પર બેસીને ની:સ્વાર્થભાવે નીષ્ઠાપુર્વક ગ્રાહકોની, દર્દીઓની, પ્રજાજનોની સેવા કરે છે, પોતાની ફરજ અદા કરે છે એણે ત્યાર પછી પોતાના દેહના કે આત્માના કલ્યાણ માટે કંઈ જ કરવાનું બચતું નથી. જેમણે જનસેવા એ જ પ્રભુસેવાના મંત્રને પોતાના જીવનમાં ચરીતાર્થ કર્યો હોય એમણે, ત્યાર પછી મંદીરમાં, ચર્ચમાં કે મસ્જીદમાં જવાની શી જરુર ? એ જ્યાં બેઠો છે એ સ્થળ તીર્થધામ છે. ફરજનીષ્ઠ કર્મચારી પોતાના સ્થાન પર બેઠો બેઠો પ્રભુસેવા જ કરે છે. બેન્કમાં કે સરકારી કચેરીમાં કોઈ પ્રકારની લાંચ આપ્યા વગર કે માનસીક યાતના ભોગવ્યા વગર થોડીક મીનીટોમાં જ પોતાનું કામ પતાવીને બહાર નીકળતો માણસ જે આશીર્વાદ આપે છે તેની તુલનામાં તો ભગવાનના આશીર્વાદ પણ ફીક્કા સાબીત થાય. આ પ્રકારે વીના વીઘ્ને અને વીના વીલંબે કામ થાય છે ત્યારે કામ કરનાર અને કરાવનાર બંને ઉંડા સંતોષની લાગણી અનુભવે છે. કામને પુજા ગણનારા માણસોને લીધે જ આ સમાજ ટકી રહ્યો છે. કામને પુજા ગણનારા માણસોની સંખ્યા જેટલી વધારે એટલી સમાજની ગુણવત્તા પણ ઉંચી.
એક શાળાના શીક્ષક ચાર મહીનાની રજા મુકીને અમેરીકા ભાગી ગયા. તેઓ ચાર મહીના પછી પુનઃ ફરજ પર હાજર ન થયા. અમેરીકામાં બેઠાં બેઠાં તેઓ પોતાની રજા લંબાવી રહ્યા છે. પોતાના સ્થાને ફરજ પર હાજર નહીં થનારો એ શીક્ષક, રાજીનામું આપતો નથી એટલે એમની જગ્યા પર બીજા શીક્ષકની નીમણુંક થઈ શકતી નથી. આ ગુરુજી અમેરીકામાં શોપીંગ સેન્ટરમાં મજુરની જેમ કામ કરે છે અને અહીં બીચારા વીદ્યાર્થીઓ જ્ઞાન મેળવવાથી વંચીત રહ્યા છે !
બાપુની કથા સાંભળવા ઈચ્છતા પ્રકાશભાઈને રજા રદ કરવા માટે અભીનન્દન આપીને મેં જણાવ્યું : ‘ભલા માણસ, તમારી જગ્યા પર અનુદાનીત શાળામાં આ શીક્ષણદ્રોહી સરકાર અવેજી શીક્ષકની નીમણુંક કરશે ? સાત દીવસ વીદ્યાર્થીઓનો અભ્યાસ બગડે તેની જવાબદારી કોની ? બાપુની કથા રજાના દીવસે કે રવીવારે સાંભળવા જવાય, નીવૃત્તી પછી ત્રણસો પાંસઠ દીવસ કથા સાંભળવાનું રાખીએ.. ક્યાં કોઈને વાંધો છે ? પરન્તુ કથા સાંભળવા ફરજ છોડીને દોડવાનું ? પોતાના કામકાજ માટે આવતા પ્રજાજનોએ ધક્કા ખાયા કરવાના ? જીવનમાં કામોની અગ્રીમતા જેવું કંઈ હોય કે નહીં ?’
ઉચ્ચતર માધ્યમીક વીભાગમાં મેથ્સ શીખવતા એક શીક્ષીકાનો દીકરો બાર સાયન્સની ત્રીજા સેમેસ્ટરની પરીક્ષામાં બેસવાનો હતો. પતી બૅન્કમાં મૅનેજર છે. પતીએ પત્નીને સુચના આપી, ‘સ્કુલમાંથી પંદર દીવસ રજા લઈ લે, જેથી પુત્રને શીક્ષણ આપી શકાય અને એની સગવડ સચવાય.’ શીક્ષીકાએ નમ્રતાથી જવાબ આપ્યો, ‘શાળામાં મારા સીત્તેર દીકરા-દીકરીઓ પણ આ જ પરીક્ષામાં બેસવાના છે. મારા વીષય પર તો એમની કારકીર્દીનો આધાર છે. હું પંદર દીવસ તો શું, એક કલાક માટે પણ મારા વીદ્યાર્થીઓથી દુર રહેવાનું નહીં સ્વીકારું.’ ડોક્ટર અને ઈજનેર બની ગયા પછી, કેનેડા અને અમેરીકામાં સેટલ થયા પછી અને મહીને બે-પાંચ લાખ રુપીયાનો પગાર મળતો હોવા છતાં; આ વીદ્યાર્થીઓ પોતાના ગુરુજીને જોતાં જ ચરણસ્પર્શ કરવા કેમ ઉતાવળા થાય છે તેનું કારણ અહીં છુપાયેલું છે. એક શાળાના આચાર્યની ઉંમર ચોપન વર્ષ છે. ડૉક્ટરે એન્જીયોગ્રાફી કરીને સુચના આપી, ‘તાત્કાલીક બાયપાસ સર્જરી કરાવવી પડશે, ચાર વેઈન્સ બ્લોક છે.’ ગુરુજીએ શાંત અને મક્કમ અવાજમાં કહ્યું, ‘હમણાં શાળાને અને વીદ્યાર્થીઓને મારી જરુર છે… વેકેશન શરુ થાય ત્યાં સુધી કંઈ વીચારવાનું નથી.’ જનસેવા એ જ પ્રભુસેવા એવું સમજીને જીવતા એ ફરીશ્તાઓને આદરપુર્વક વંદન. ભગવાને સોંપેલી ફરજ છોડીને બાપુની કથા સાંભળવા તો શું, સ્વયમ્ ભગવાન દર્શન આપવા તૈયાર ઉભા હોય તોયે ન જવાય.

It is true. As long as you do your job honestly, there is no problem. In India, general public do not have this concept. People think that it is not my job.
In life the true definition of Dharma is to do your job honestly. Duty and responsibilities come first in life. Other things become secondary.

ધાર્મિક કથાઓ કે ચૂટણી સભાઓમાં કેટલા બધા “મેન અવર્સ” નો બગાડ થાય છે એનો કૉઈને ખ્યાલ કરો? મે આ બાબતમાં વારંવાર અનેક જગ્યાએ લખ્યું છે. માત્ર આટલું જ નહીં પણ અર્થવગરના બીનઉપજાવ સેમિનારોમાં પણ સમયનો બગાડ થાય છે. I agree with Shashikantbhai.

Very nice Dr. Shashikant bhai. these kind of species are available in all communities and everywhere.This brought me an incident in my life which I would like to share with all of you.
In 1996 while in Mumbai along with other friends I used to work for spreading education among Muslims. Need not say that Muslims are still educationally backward. We used to go to Muslim localities including zopadpattis t persuade parents to send their children to school. We started this Talimi Caravan from Mumbai and in short period it spread to whole of Maharashtra. Many school managements used to invite me to see their schools to impress me how good work they are doing.
During one such visit to Bhusawal city in Maharashtra I was taken on round to see the classrooms while school is on. The principal, other teachers and management people accompanied me. I saw that one teacher was managing Two classes side by side! When he was in one classroom the students of other classroom was making noises. When he come to this classrooms to silence students there was loud noise in other one. i stopped and watched this for a few minutes. Slowly I went to that teacher and asked respectfully to which class he actually belonged to? He pointed the classroom. Then I asked him about the teacher of the other classroom. He said, “He has gone to Jamaat for Three months.” Now, for non Muslims let me make it clear that there is a Tabligh Jamaat. People join this voluntarily to spread Islam among Muslims to make them perfect.
I asked principal and the management (Vice-president) as to who sanctioned the leave? And what alternative arrangement to hire a temp teacher has been made? The answer I got was enough to make me feel as if I have been thrown down from Himalaya. The vice-principal told me that since its matter of religion and the teacher has gone for noble work we had to sanction the leave. The government doesn’t permit to hire a teacher for Three months.
I cut short my trip further. Returned back to principal’s office. For few minutes I couldn’t speak. I was in rage with anger. After few minutes I told the management, ” Us teacher ko Allah sawab (Punya) nahin dega jo meri qaum (Community) ke bacon ko chhod kar Jamaat men gaya hai. Jo teacher hamare bachon ke bhavishya se khilvad kare use laat mar kar bahar karna chahiye.” I don’t know what action was taken by the management but i am sure that teacher must be still working over there.
So, friends, you see these kind of things are everywhere. It pains and pains too much but then unfortunately we have to live with it. There are hundreds and thousands who prefer Bhagwan, Allah to their responsibilities. Such people don’t deserve sympathy. At least my sympathy.

મિત્રો,
સીઘો સાદો ગણિતનો દાખલો છે….ભારતમાં બેકારી જેવો રોગ અસાઘ્ય છે. કટાક્ષમાં કહીયે તો…..જો દરેક નોકરીયાત દિવસના આઠ કલાકના ફરજનાં કલાકોમાંથી ફક્ત ચાર કલાક કામચોરીમાં વાપરે તો ? દાખલો ગણો….(૧) બેકારોની સંખ્યામાં બે વષૅમાં કેટલો વઘારો થાય ? અને (૨) કામના કલાકોમાં કેટલો વઘારો થાય ? (૩) દેશ કેટલાં વષૅ પાછળ પડે ? (૪) બાપુઓ આ પ્રોબલેમ સોલ્વ કરવાં કયાં રસ્તા બતાવી શકે ?…….(૫) રામ, લક્ષ્મણ કેટલી મદદ કરી શકે ? કૃષણ કે અર્જુન કેવી રીતે મદદગાર થઇ શકે ?
મુરારી બાપુ કેટલી મદદ કરી શકે ? ભૂપેનદ્રભાઇ કેટલી મદદ કરી શકે ?
તઓ તો મહેનત કરીને…કામચોરી કરવા વિના કામ કરીને આજની કિંમત પ્રમાણે કરોડાઘિપતિ બની ગયાછે અને તેમની કથામાં જનારા ગજવાં ખાલી કરતાં રહ્યા છે.
દાખલો ગણવા માટે કોઇપણ બાપુની મદદ લેવી જરુરી લાગે તો શરમ વિના લેવી.
ઘાર્મિક પુસ્તકોમાં…મહાનુભવોના વચનોમાં….ખૂબ લખાયુ છે, કહેવાયુ છે, સમજાવાયુ છે….પરંતું શેઠની શીખામણ ઝાંપા સુઘી..

તમે જ તમારા બાપુ બનો. પછી બાપુ તમે જ્યાં જશો ત્યાં તમારી સાથે જ આવશે. લોકોના બાપુ બનવાની કોશીશ પણ નહિં કરતાં.
જો અેક ગરીબ શાળાના શિક્ષક ખૂબ મહેનત કરીને…કામચોરી કરવાં વગળ મહેનત કરીને કરોડાઘિપતિ બની શકતા હોય, તો તેમના જીવનમાંથી કાંઇક પોઝીટીવ શીખીયે…..જય શ્રી રામ…….

. આ “બાપુ”ના વગર પૈસાના ધંધામાં હમેશા તડાકો જ હોય . તેને તડકો કે છાંયડો નડતા નથી!
ભણેલા અને અભણ બંને તેના ધિકતા ગ્રાહક છે. કરોડોની જનતા આ સમજવા નાકામયાબ છે.

Why not give these people unpaid holidays who attend Bapu’s functions? Don’t let them accumulate vacation days over years? A financial punishment at work may stop them seeking Moksh via religious entertainment.

ફરજને ગૌણ માનનારા કોઇપણ બેદરકાર હરગીજ ક્ષમાને પાત્ર નથી.
ટીલા-ટ્પકા ભગવાધારી અન્યનેભારરુપ સાધુ-બાવા કે કથાકારોને ગાંડા ઘેલા લોકોના ટોળા જ જોઇએ. સંત કબીર.અખા તુકારામ કે નરસિંહ જેવા જિવનનિર્વાહ માટે સ્વયં જાત મહેનત કરી ફાજલ સમયમા ભકિત કે ઉપદેશનુ કામ કરનારો આજે એક પણ સંત-સાધુ કે બાપુ શોધ્યો જડે એમ નથી. આજે એ સૌ દેશ વિદેશમા હવાઇ મુસાફરી અને મરસીડીઝમા મહાલતા જીવતા જ સ્વર્ગની મોજ મઝા લુટે છે.
એકની એક કથા વાર્તા કે ધારર્મીક આખ્યાનો, જેમા નિવ્રુતો કે અભણ લોકો ટાઇમપાસ માટે
ઉમટે એ તો કદાચ સમજાય,- પરંતુ બેચલર-માસ્ટર ડીગ્રીવાળા પણ ગાંડા ઘેલા બની ઉમટિ પડે ત્યારે તેવાઓની મુર્ર્ખાઈ ઉપર હસવાની મઝા ઓર હોય છે !!!
કાશ એવા લોકો અંગુઠાછાપ જ રહ્યા હોત તો કેવુ રૂડુ ?????

In India, No one value human being. “Maanas ne Maanas ni kimat j nathi”. Abroad, everyone like to ‘show off’. Because of this, all “Baapu” ne Jalsaa j Jalsaa.

Prakash took Excellent decision but in the last case, in which even after doctor’s advise for bye pass surgery in four vanes, principal denied to under go bye pass should not be praised. This may be proved unmatured decision if some thing happen to principal during school hours.

બસ, થોડાં જ વર્ષો છે. નવી પેઢી ધર્મને નામે કલાકો નહીં બગાડે, એવો અણસાર આપી રહી છે.

Kalpanaben, on the contrary what I have been observing is new generation is being pushed successfully toward so called Religions and rituals. Temples are full of them. Moreover, every year every Bapu is visiting foreign countries to export religion and so called spirituality. The time, money and energy Indians spent are mind bogging. in India you find electric lamps (Energy) always ON in every shop, work places (Offices, workshops, canteens, restaurants etc.). Perhaps India is the only country in the world to do so.No religious leader says anything to stop this! Bahgwan paase deevo-batti nahin karo to ae araaj thai jaay!!. Jyan aavi maanhikta hoi tyaan tame, hun ke koibhi maathun patki ne mari bhi jaay to kashun thavaanu nathi.

Let me inform you also what is going on in my Dawoodi Bohra community. In the month of Moharram there is an executive order by the head priest Syedna Sahib that in the next 10 days of his sermons(Vaiz) ,the students should not attend the schools and the business men should close their shops.Those who do not follow will bear the contempt of the community and may be excommunicated from The Jamat..This has been going on for many years and will continue until the community wakes up from the long induced coma.The children even have to forgo the examinations if they fall in that time frame!.These people practice CULT and not real religion by any means should be reported to the govt education boards.

મફત અને ફરજીયાત પ્રાથમીક શીક્ષણનો જમાનો આવ્યો છે. હવે તો પ્રાથમીક શાળામાં બીએ, એમએ, બીઍડ કે પીએચડી શીક્ષકો આવી ગયા છે.
કેન્દ્ર,રાજ્ય, જીલ્લા અને તાલુકા કક્ષાએ બ્લોક બનાવી નેટથી જોડી દીધેલ છે. બધાને સરખું અને વ્યવસ્થીત ભણાવવા માટે. શીક્ષકોની હાજરી પણ નીયમીત અને ભણાવવા સાથે સર્વાંગી વીકાસ સાથે ભણાવવું.
નેટ, વેબ અને બ્લોગ ઉપર બાળકો કે વીધ્યાર્થીઓ જે પ્રોજેક્ટ બનાવે છે એ જોવા મળે છે જેમકે ઘેટાના સુંવાળા ઉનની રચના કે કુતરાની પુંછડીની રચના બાબતનો રીપોર્ટ…
